Mario shakes his head.  "If you say so.  You've apparently at least heard of these things."

He hunches his head down between his shoulders as much as possible.

Jareth shrugs and says slightly muffled, "Been down here before.  Common enough hazard, didn't think to mention it."

Once everyone is prepared (Jareth will smear some on his mask and hood edges, in case that helps to ward them off), Jareth will open the door and advance into next room.

Clarence will make sure he covers all exposed flesh, especially around the eyes...before moving on.

Jocelyn makes a face as she smears the goo on her exposed skin.

Brodak tastes the goo, Why waste? good for cooking!

She dabs it on with obvious distaste Euww, seen shitty stew like this.

Mario also makes sure to cover his expose hands, face, and neck with the glop.

as you make your way into the narrow and partially flooded passage, several small things burst out of the water. one strike Clarence on the cheek, and slides off onto his cloak... one rebounds off of Brodak's armor, and another strikes Jareth's goggles.


btw, they are SM-9, and can hit eyes at only -1

Mario covers his mouth before speaking, raising his voice a little to compensate for the muffling effect.

"I'm in favor.  Jareth, Brodak, can we step it up?"

Brodak doesn't need a lot of encouragement and speeds it up.

Clarence does not expect the prisoners need much encouragement...he keeps moving himself.

Jareth grabs at the leech on his goggles, but can't seem to get a hold of it, he does step to the side to let people past him...

01:26, Today: Jareth Mooncalled rolled 10 using 3d6.  Grab 5 against leech.  (Skill 10 - 9 SM + 4 AOA).

Mouth once more firmly closed, Mario grabs Jareth by the arm he isn't using to grab at the leech and hurries him along.  His free hand, still holding his staff, covers his eyes as much as possible without making it impossible to see where he's going.

Jareth stumbles along, the large leech obscuring his vision as he unsuccessfully tries to swipe it off his goggles again.
