Unfortunately,the primary sewer system is considered part of the rivers, and rivers mark a fresh boundary...

Aldous bows slightly to the goblin who seems to be a leader, and moves back toward the stairway to wait for the others.

Once the family is moving again, Aldous joins up, lantern held high, and as he passes the arch, he once more draws on of his smaller knives and flips it to a throwing grip.

You know, it might be worth seeing if you could trade with those Goblins ... Not sure what sort o craftsmen he was, but wood or metal, he could be an asset.

Through the archway is a flight of steps leading a up to a narrow bridge that crosses a turbulent stream of rank water.
The ceiling is barrel vaulted, and ends abruptly to the right (in the direction the water is flowing) in a low bronze grillwork, through which it flows.
To the left, the tunnel continues, the far end having a floor to ceiling grillwork, and  beyond it you can see a grillwork catwalk and another similar wall of crossbars., and a door beyond that.

On the opposite side of the bridge and down a flight of steps (straight ahead) is another archway,

The archway leads into a partially flooded roomfull of rats of various sizes! You can see a gate to the right, the flooded area is to the left,and there are rats all about!
