The thing brushes off the vestiges of its charrded garments, and standsjust out of range, its bitterness and anger like a palpable cold aura around it.

As I suspected  He launches a thrusting attack with most of his spear in front of his hands as he stabs at the things head.

Concerned at the danger of being hit, Aine stays a safe distance away and launches her Icy Shpere at the things feet, not wanting to put out the flames.

As he speaks, Aldous sheathes the small knife he was holding and looks for the hinges -- if they're on this side, he wedges his shoe against the bottom of the door as an improvised doorstop.

He thrusts again at the creatures head ... and misses again.

Aine stays back behind the bars, and once again throws her Icy sphere through the bars at the thing, this time targeting the torso.

it is hit simultaneously by Aine's iceball, which crunches against a rib, and by Throg's Flaming spear, which pierces between its ribs, causing it to drop back away from you, moving to -5 range.
