Re: The Beast of Veroigne

He continues to observe the child.

Ma'am, does he get thse blisters around his mouth very much?

[Private to GM: Is the child sorting the seeds?  as in like he was counting them?  He seemed light shy (although I never had the light out), but he did go outsie in the sunlight. And why the blister around his mouth? ]

Does Kirpich relate that to any undead activities/infections/influences?

In reply to Aethul (msg # 945):

the child never went out of the cellar, they were afraid of something outside. you don't know what the child was doing with the seeds because no one looked.

Kirpich- if this chold is not a child, it could have gotten the blisters from something holy.

If it was not completely undead, is there a way to possibly cure it?

Hannatti says as kindly as she can but with some urgency, "Lady, this is your child, yes? What causes these blisters?"

OOC: Unlikely, but might be an allergy.

I think we best pay immedite attention to what ever is outside. Then we can solve this other issue with the boys Mom.

Aethul did observe the child with the seeds earlier.

the woman seems dazed, and is bleeding from two small wounds at her wrist.

Kirpich- if the lead vampire is killed, underlings that have not killed can be saved.

Re: The Beast of Veroigne

"By Federjung's beard!" Balir exclaims and charges the child, shield first. Balir seems ready to play it rough against the child.

OOC: So, I am not sure when I can react or how far away the child and/or Hannatti is, but the plan is to do an all out attack which would give me 3 movement points and do some sort of shield bash to hopefully pin the little critter with the shield against either the wall behind or the floor. I need some info on how this can best be done. I checked both basic and MA couldn't really see anything.

Not sure what she's dealing with yet leery of being too close to a possible vampireling she jumps backwards, held sword at the ready.

Balir, make a shield roll to attack,

Re: The Beast of Veroigne

Hannatti calls urgently, "Kirpich! Is this a vampire? Yes? Or no?"

If Hannatti knows (or Kirpich confirms) that the child is a vampire then Hannatti slashes deceptively with her rapier. Otherwise she tries a thrown dagger to see if the wound heals unnaturally fast.

======
OOC:
11:03, Today: Secret Roll: Hannatti rolled 9 using 3d6.  Deceptive attack rapier 20-4=16,OR thrown knife 16.
Rapier imposes a -2 defensive skill penalty on the child.
Edged rapier with bonuses woukld be (2d+5 cut) which I think then changes to something like: 2d+5 => 3d+1
Small knife damage would be (d-1 imp).
I've added Pummel & Sweep (at default) to the char sheet.

[Private to GM: If required, here's the damage roll(s):
11:56, Today: Secret Roll: Hannatti rolled 10,5 using 3d6+1,1d6-1.  damage rapier cut, OR small knife imp.

Re: The Beast of Veroigne

In reply to enfant terrible (msg # 964):

"The child is a vampire spawn. It is reversible if the master is killed before it kills, but otherwise a danger. The mother, who has been bitten, is likely to become one as well, hence they both need to be restrained until we deal with the master.

Since the master is here, he can control the spawn. If we had of blocked his exit from the keep as I wanted to do, he would not have been able to control it, and I suspect we would have had a much easier time, but you all knew better...now we need to disable both and deal with the master, but unlikely we can do that from here. We shall see, but I suspect we will need to return to it's coffin to kill it. Or trap it in sunlight...

Re: The Beast of Veroigne

Balir charges the child with his shield in front of him, hoping to pin the child between him and either the wall of the floor - whatever is easiest

OOC: All out attack (gives 3 move) for +4 to hit Shield Bash or whatever is required to somehow pin the child between the shield and the floor or the wall (whatever is easiest)

[Private to GM: 21:30, Today: Secret Roll: Balir Ironhide rolled 6 using 3d6.  Shield bash charge (or whatever we call an attempt to pin with a shield) all out attack +4 to hit.
That should be a crit! (skill is is 16 and I chose +4 to attack roll). So I hope he is able to pin the child. He is using a large shield with the Shield Wall perk, so it is a pretty big shield and he is quite capable of using it.

OOC: As we're now in combat round, I think 1 second long, I guess that speech must be a least 15 rounds' worth. I thought I was pushing it with 8 words, albeit six of them single sylable.
Is there guidance on how much we can say in a combat round?

I would give that soeech several seconds past Balir slamming the child against the wall,  thereby restraining him... quick contest of ST, as the child is unnaturally strong for his size
