The Beast of Veroigne
Balir responds "No, I don't think anyone looked at the inside of this thing. I will open it up so you can.
While we are examining it's insides, perhaps we can provide some meat to the farm. They will need help to get back up and running. A few days of food would be very valuable to them. Does anyone know how to treat or smoke animal meat to preserve it? The inhabitants of the farm, especially the children, could use it.
With regard to the Vampyre, I do understand your point, Kirpich. From my perspective, we have to carry the spoils from the beast. It's scales will stink if not properly treated. We do not want to lose the chance at some armor crafted from it's hide. I may be full of myself sometimes, but we do have a good reason to head back to town. They will still be here when we come back, perhaps more prepared.
If nothing else, the farm will need workers to rebuild. We could at least put out word if our friend wants help. Jobs are not always so easy to come by."
OOC Use Earthwarden to split the thing open down the length of the creature. Might be important organs or whatever.
[Private to GM:
Looking at disadvantages, Balir carouses compulsively, and is chummy. Plus he is stubborn. He misses the bar, and the chance to drink with friends and brag about his successes. While he has very good reason to bring back the animal hide and have armor crafted, this is really his ulterior motive, and he will get stuck on it.]
