In reply to Snorri Roslovich (msg # 121):

The elemental swi gs the pick, burying it deep, and seems to do more effective damage due to his size and the weapon type.

Aethul's attempt to stab through the heavy scales , while aimed at the vitals, fails to penetrate through the heavy armoring of the beast
The beast , now free from the burning rope, starts to dig!

[Private to GM: 13:10, Today: Aethul rolled 14 using 3d6.  Stab to Vitals.  basically just a torso hit ... no real effect
13:11, Today: Aethul rolled 1 using 1d6.  Short sword damage.

"Chunky, rip that pick out and smash it's leg!"

Kirpich drags the Faun away a little, before moving closer to the beast...but not near the head.

Just to indicate intentions, Kirpich is waiting until the creatures head is underground before casting Earth to stone. Intention will be to encase the entire head in stone when the time is right. But he is not saying that...he is evaluating that situation now though.

I will take that less as a vials shot than as a chinks in armor hit, allowing you to bypass DR of the large scales to do full impaling damage.

The beast dives forward and into the ground, interring its head and the first pair of legs.

As the creature starts to run, Balir flings his shield with his left hand, screaming "FEDERJUNG!!!" at the top of his lungs, before taking the strongest swing he can muster with both hands.

[Private to GM: All out attack, mighty, targeting a leg.  Let's see if we can stun this thing.  He should hit, and I rolled 2d6+5 after adding the +2 for mighty.  If he gets another point for using both hands, and/or you want me to reroll with a different dice combination, please let me know.

17:01, Today: Secret Roll: Balir Ironhide rolled 14 using 2d6+5.  Balir 2d+3 with Earthwarden +2 mighty.
17:00, Today: Secret Roll: Balir Ironhide rolled 11 using 3d6.  Balir Axe/Mace 18 with Earthwarden - all out attack mighty - leg.

The beast struggles, trying to interr itself.

Balir notes the wounds that appear to be healing slowly, but can't let that stop him.  With the leg behind him crippled, he moves to the next one to try and do the same to it.  They might not be able to kill the creature outright, but they could wear it down over time.  Especially if it could not adequately defend himself now.

Unfortunately, with the creature squirming around like it is, he isn't able to hit the next leg squarely.

[Private to GM: He hits, but probably not enough to cripple it.  But he will try again in a round.  :)

Btw an actual vitals hit is either -3/+4=+1 with DR7 or -6 to bypass armor, bypassing armor to get vitals is -10-3+4=-9

In reply to Aethul (msg # 143):

Aethul's attacks have been damaging, due to his precise aim vs scales. Balir
and Snorri  continue to do damage, despite the epic armor of the creature.

The only reason it is still standing, after beeing burnt, waterlogged, chopped, stabbed, and  skewered is because its kind is Hard to Kill.
