For Aethul  that acts as a comimentary skill, a success gives +1. Does Balir have Armory? So far he has cut a goodly swath of scaly hide.

OOC Balir is very well set up for this sort of endeavor.  :)

[Private to GM: Balir has several skills that apply to this.  He should be in good shape.
Armoury/TL3 (Body Armor) IQ/A - IQ-1 10
Merchant IQ/A - IQ-1 10
Smith/TL3 (Iron) IQ/A - IQ-1 10

OOC  Rolled about average, so it isn't ideal.  With an assist I'd like to think we might get one set of armor, but the GM will tell us.

[Private to GM: Failed the roll, but with as much extra time as possible and an assist I'm hoping he will make the modified number.
11:18, Today: Secret Roll: Balir Ironhide rolled 12 using 3d6.  Balir Armory10, wish me luck, extra time...etc.

Balir turns to Aethul and thanks him.  "Thanks for your assistance.  This will make a fine trophy.  Many will jealously look upon it with awe, even more after they hear the amazing story of my...our victory.  Are there any other items we should gather for the mages, or additional items that might sell at market?  My axe stands ready to expose whatever you might want."

I am sure some of the internal organs would be useful, but  which organs and to whom and I don't know. Marlena, can you provide any enlightenment?   I might use a few of the scales for a new buckler, if there are enough...

Not quite offering separate fire resistance, but certainly aiding in the enchantment of such a thing, a buckler might be unweildy, but enough to make one could be acqired with another survival plus armory roll.

How about a chest plate and helmet perhaps... if this is really heavy stuff, I'll skip it though.

Balir responds "We should all profit from this tremendous victory."

With that he turns, and very carefully starts taking short swings with Earthwarden, to try and harvest the suggested items.

OOC Not sure he can do this a second time, Balir is a bit of a hack on this.  He's gonna need a nice assist to get this done.

[Private to GM: Not sure he'll make it this time, even with help.
18:31, Today: Secret Roll: Balir Ironhide rolled 13 using 3d6.  Balir Armory 10, once more with feeling.

Finally recovered, Kirpich goes to inspect the beast, and the wounded.

"Whilst I am all for recovering all we can of this thing, we should remember that killing it has reward in itself. But there will also be the question of the Vampyre once we are done here. We are quite sure it cannot come back to life? Have any vital organs, such as it's head, been removed?"

Balir looks up from where he has been working, and absently wipes a bit of ichor off of his mail sleeve.  "I can remove all the legs if you want to handle all of the other critical organs.  Do you need me to cleave it open?  Should we remove it's head?"

Balir does a double take at this, and then answers the second question himself.  "What am I asking.  OF COURSE we should remove the head, so we can show it off as a trophy of my...our achievement!"

OOC  Assuming no argument, he will get to work on the head and legs, depending on what Kirpich has to say.

In reply to Balir Ironhide (msg # 191):

Kirpich is happy to remove the head, though getting out of the boulder that killed it is not something that interests him! He will leave that to Balir, and start looking around.

"Do these things have a nest by any chance?"

Edit: Then he notices the injured Faun nearby. He starts by doing a quick Diagnosis [Private to GM: Rolled 5 under skill for this. Evaluating healing and spells required to restore health and arm.].

Following the Diagnosis, he heals the faun back to health with greater healing.[Private to GM: Rolled 12 under skill, with the first 2 points free due to skill. So to heal 8 HP will cost 2 FP. Points as required, determined by the Diagnosis.] This will take some strength from him, so he will have to spend some time to recover after that. [Private to GM: Recovers 1 FP per 2 minutes.]

Finally, he will cast restoration, if that will help restore the lost arm.[Private to GM: Rolled 5, skill 20, not sure if a critical success! Cost 15 fp, he has 11, so may need to burn HP for this one. Not sure how to handle this...-4 to skill would reduce skill to 16, and cause him to fall unconscious on completion...Earth clerics do not get Regeneration as a spell...]
