Enough hide has been removed as to make a shield and a full suit of human or dwarven armor.

Snorri and Balir have been working at severing the stone-encased head, and have it done now.

OOC  Is there any chance of breaking the head out of the stone so we can have it as a trophy?  Is it even something we could carry?

15:03, Today: Balir Ironhide rolled 10 using 3d6.  IQ roll for the creature's head?

In reply to Balir Ironhide (msg # 197):

Saddened at the loss of a companion, Kirpich is busy preparing a Final Rest spell for his expired faun friend. He could shape the stone if he was not distracted, but was unwilling to while the head was still attached, having seen the creatures extraordinary powers of regeneration.

He will shape a hole to bury him in first, before preparing to cast final rest ceremonially in a funeral ceremony.

[Private to GM: Rolled 10 under for shape earth, free to move 2 cu yds due to skill, then 9 under to cast final rest. He has 11 fp, so he will want some help from others, or will burn HP to complete the spell. Rolled 9 under skill, just enough to burn 9 hp if he has to.]

So that is 3 fp, and Kirpich will have to pony up the other 17, burning 7 hp. He will remain conscious, to recover before praying for healing spells once complete.

We tell her the death of her husband is avenged and the beast is dead ... we can also relay what a horrific beast it was and that we lost one of our number fighting it
We ask to stay the night at her farm and will help repair it a little.

Balir of course boasts about how much he did when the beast was killed, but when she responds he stops massaging his own ego to ask "Who is this Baronet James?"
