Re: The Beast of Veroigne

In reply to Hannatti (msg # 469):

the guardsmen are wearing reinforced leather armor, although two have brigandine torso armor, they carry shortswords and crossbows, and there are 6 lightly armored and two heavily armored ones, closed to the dias.
there is an exit that leads deeper inside the keep, one that heads to the kitchens, or the cellars, as ale is being brought from that way, and the front entrance, which may have more guards outside.

Re: The Beast of Veroigne

Long seconds stretch out with everyone apparently watching everyone else as ale is bought in from the kitchen or cellars.

She tries to catch the Baroness's eye by rubbing her sides, just below the ribs, leaning forwards slightly as she does so. This slightly accentuaties her curves in the Baroness's direction. The rubbing motion is with palms upwards. On catching the Baroness's attention Hannatti straightens her hands with a tiny but emphatic gesture, coupled with raised eyebrows, much as to say 'Are we going to stand here all day? What happens next?'

15:25, Today: Hannatti rolled 11 using 3d6.  Gesture.

thebarroness glances toward the exit heading deeper in and casually extends 4 fingers to touch her arm, suggesting an interval of time.

Hannatti noss back and gvives the briefest of smiles of gratitude.

She keeps a lookout for any subtle pointing by the baroness as a signal to run like Hades into the deeper exit.

[Private to GM: Contexturally would Hannatti likely understand the signal as four seconds? Or four minutes? Or..?]

Seeing the Baron's response had seemingly been distracted, Kirpich got to the point.

Re: The Beast of Veroigne

In reply to Baroness Lorraine Pequenaud (msg # 479):

Hannatti is thanksful that she's not had to make the decision between accepting being locked up and trying to fight her way out. She watches a little longer in case either the baron makes a counter-pronouncement or something else occurs with the bounty hunters.

 [Private to GM: Hannatti looks around as if rubbernecking but actually keeps the baroness in view. If the Lady Lorraine seems to be looking her way, Hannatti subtly points to the "deeper and down" passageway and, other arm idly by hers side, shows three fingers.
======
OOC: Hannatti is trying to establish whether she will be paying her dues to the baroness in a short while. Or whether Lady Lorraine wants to keep this as a promise for the future. The swashbuckler is fine with either, but would be very happy if payment is due now (well, in three minutes or so).

In reply to Baroness Lorraine Pequenaud (msg # 479):
The baron waves his hand dismissively.
"Go to your needlework.  And you all, out of my hall, but let me see this wonderous hide..." His men step down from the dias to hold the skin for him as he fingers it ...
leaving the rear passage mostly unobserved.

you note that the Baronness left her needlepoint in her chair, although she took her sewing bag.

Re: The Beast of Veroigne

As the Baroness is just disappearing through the archway Hannatti casually steps forwards to pick up the needlepoint. She follows Lady Lorraine to return it.
[Private to GM: Unless stopped Hannatti follows the Baroness, eneters the room and closes the door behind her..

======
OOC: If the baroness wishes it, the pair can spend some time being close. We can gloss over the details.. Aftr that, she's return to the inn wherethe party are staying.

Seeing the not so tall fellow, companion to the tall fellow in green, Hannatti wanders over. "Hello. If you're open to company, I'm Hannatti. How far away is the head that the tall fellow in green took the baron's men to see? And, if you don't mind me asking, do you have many folk travelling with you as you hunt big lizardy creatures?"

"We are open to folk of good nature. I am Kirpich, Earth priest of Grom, and we do not tolerate those of the more shady nature in our company. But if you are not shady, then you are welcome to join us, as far as I am concerned. Be warned, though, we did loose a companion to the last quest, so we make no promises about safety."
