In reply to Kirpich Rockson (msg # 456):

"Aye," calls the blondish, scarred Shevnian man beside the earth priest and the woman with the staff, "Kirpich here stuck its head in the ground while we chopped it off. It were the size of one of the great wolves, but twice as broad."

In reply to Marlena DuBois (msg # 458):

Hannatti idly rests her hand on her rapier sheath and subtly edges the weapon's handle towards the woman with the crackling staff, almost like gently pointing, actually offering a message.

She glances back at the pair of nobles and then looks again to the group of apparently successful hunters.

"Our guests must be parched, bring the ale."

She holds Hannatti's gaze as she says this, speaking from behind her husband as she continues sewing.

The swordmistress returns her attention to the baron and baroness, idly rubbing her left palm on her hip. She calmly waits to see who truly holds power here, the one who thinks he does, or the one sewing.

Under guise of looking at the nobles or the animal-skinners, Hannatti seeks how many visible exits and roughly how many guards there are and the weoponry of the latter.

In reply to Hannatti (msg # 469):

the guardsmen are wearing reinforced leather armor, although two have brigandine torso armor, they carry shortswords and crossbows, and there are 6 lightly armored and two heavily armored ones, closed to the dias.
there is an exit that leads deeper inside the keep, one that heads to the kitchens, or the cellars, as ale is being brought from that way, and the front entrance, which may have more guards outside.

Re: The Beast of Veroigne
Long seconds stretch out with everyone apparently watching everyone else as ale is bought in from the kitchen or cellars.

She tries to catch the Baroness's eye by rubbing her sides, just below the ribs, leaning forwards slightly as she does so. This slightly accentuaties her curves in the Baroness's direction. The rubbing motion is with palms upwards. On catching the Baroness's attention Hannatti straightens her hands with a tiny but emphatic gesture, coupled with raised eyebrows, much as to say 'Are we going to stand here all day? What happens next?'

Hannatti noss back and gvives the briefest of smiles of gratitude.

She keeps a lookout for any subtle pointing by the baroness as a signal to run like Hades into the deeper exit.

Hannatti is thanksful that she's not had to make the decision between accepting being locked up and trying to fight her way out. She watches a little longer in case either the baron makes a counter-pronouncement or something else occurs with the bounty hunters.

In reply to Baroness Lorraine Pequenaud (msg # 479):
The baron waves his hand dismissively.
"Go to your needlework.  And you all, out of my hall, but let me see this wonderous hide..." His men step down from the dias to hold the skin for him as he fingers it ...
leaving the rear passage mostly unobserved.

you note that the Baronness left her needlepoint in her chair, although she took her sewing bag.

Kirpich allows the Duke and those in the court to see the hide, but he stays while they look and only leaves to the inn with it, and all of his friends.
