OOC: From memory, if it helps, a normal cloak used passively is DR+1, whereas a heavy cloak would be DR+2.

Ok. So just wearing a cloak and keeping a hand free to use it defensively grants +1/+2 DB if I understand correctly.

In reply to Kirpich Rockson (msg # 650):

it is based on heaviness of cloak, it can add to dodge or cloak skill derived  defenses.  the isea is that it obfuscates your actual  silhouette and folks stab at the places where there is cloak, not body. the CV liak skill (and related perks) let you try to actively ensnare and redirect weapons.

I would vote for an early start in the morning, I'd like to clean up and get some rest.

Hannatti nods, "Makes sense. Sounds good. I need to wash and braid my hair." She pops off to the kitchen to see if the cook can spare a few cloves of garlic.

Did I find a A Fine, Balanced, Silver coated Armour Piercing Pick is just $1,260?

And I am getting my shortsword double silver coated, along with the arrows mentioned.
Arrows come to $170 (5 magical and 10 plated), plating the sword costs $800 to buy? or just to plate it?

OK, if we're shopping, Hannatti will see if a small (handheld) silver mirror is available?

[Private to Aethul: Currently have a space booked on someone's floor.  If you book a room with a biggish bed then make the offer "...and you get a bed..." and she'll snap your hand iff in agreement.]

Re: The Beast of Veroigne

In reply to Aethul (msg # 657):

it is +2cf to get an item silvered, which usually involves heat, silver leaf, and mercury, thus the cost.  getting a shortsword is $400, getting a pre silvered one is $1200, so you are paying the difference.

you can only get fine and silvered in this podunk town, so a bunch less than that.

a silvered mirror can be got for $45, ( a bronze or lead ine with glass Costs $15, polished silver costs$75)

postions of healing can be hot for $120, 2 are available.  blessed water can be got by the vial for $15... 6 are available.

Re: The Beast of Veroigne

OK, so the Sword silvered, two healing potions ad 3 blessed (Holy water I assume?) water Vials.
Costs $1095.

[Private to Hannatti: Assuming we are rooming and bathing together (as best can be done is a wash tub), sharing benefits etc., Aethul will give you a healing potion and a blessed water vial. I am assuming we will be closer friends by morning. GM, I also gave Hannatti a $1000, so I should still have $1,905 left.]

"Well, thank you, Aethul. Looks like you took the words right out of my mouth!" Hannatti smile. It's a while since anyone gave her a present. She curtsies and flutters her eyelids for a moment or two as she accepts the gifts.

[Private to Aethul: Yes, that sounds nice; it's good when someone has your back.]

Ok, buy all six blessed water for $90. Only a fine, silvered pick ($350), not even a balanced one (would be $630) available here? Hardly worth it...
