In reply to Kirpich Rockson (msg # 437):

you are lead under a raised porticullis and into the hall. a number of guardsmen and petitioners are present, and on a dias are seated a statuesque bloond woman in a bluegown, wearing asilver diadem, and doing needlepoint., along side an oafish looking heavyset and balding man wearing a gold pectoral chain and a sour expression.

flanked by two guardsmen is a tall dark woman with a slender sword at her hip.

Re: The Beast of Veroigne

"Well, Your Lordship*," starts Hannatti, taking her time to assess those in power in front of her, "it's certainly true that I was there. And it's also true that there was a fracas. But I contest that it is patently untrue that I started anything other than defending myself when violence, unsought and unseemly, came my way. Now I'm not saying I'm clean as the driven snow in all this - I certainly did cause, inadvertantly of course, and in the process of defending myself, some amount of damage to furniture fittings. And for that I would offer reparation, but currenly must admit to being somewhat financially embarrassed, having a meere $15 to my now-sullied name." She shrugs, arms out-raised and looks openly, appealing at the Lord and Ladies, inviting them to dismiss the more serious of the charges being levelled.

*Savoir-Faire (High Society) for the appropriate form of address?
09:13, Today: Hannatti rolled 12 using 3d6.  Savoir-Faire (High Society). Maybe Cultural Familiarity (Aralaise) helps here..
09:16, Today: Hannatti rolled 6 using 3d6.  Fast-Talk 9.
[Private to GM: Possibly Fast-Talk 9 &/or Charisma 1 might be helpful here. She takes her time to try and build a picture of injured innocence.]

further options- you are a woman, and can plead specific violence against your person suggested or otherwise and appeal to the baronness for leniency on those grounds

Re: The Beast of Veroigne

Seeking inspiration the tall dark woman with a slender sword at her hip looks sideways at the newcomers. Her eyes linger on the tall bowman clad in green. Inspired, Hannatti seeks out the Baronness's gaze, her eyes searching the other's. "Your Ladyship, in many circles it's still a man's world, despite good litigation to the contrary. One fellow made unwelcome advances and, when rebuffed, threatened violence. I did slap his hand away and told him 'I'm not that kind of girl'." Her eyes serach the face of the baroness and then try to hold her eyes. Licking her lips the dark girl continues, "He didn't like that and said awful things he was going to do (to me) and he bared his weapon and people started fighting and it all went mad after that. I'm asking, no appealing, to you for leniency, here. Please, Your Ladyship?"

  Edited into previous post.
[Private to GM: Sorry, I wasn't sure who rolled in this game. Rarely were any rolls visible in the two threads I've read. I will do them going forwards unless you say otherwise. Should they be hidden/secret??]

[Private to GM: I know it's probably inappropriate/sub-optimal to make eyes at the Baroness but Hanna's got 'Lecherous'. Sigh. 10:01, Today: Hannatti rolled 7 using 3d6.  Sex Appeal {A} HT-1 [1] 12. ]

Kirpich watched proceedings as they talked, noting the way things were going.

Rather than interrupt with words, he simply had those with him roll out the hide of the beast, and then waited for the Barons reaction.
