"Hello ma'm," Balir says, and nods at her "We were wondering if we could spend the night here with you. Also have you been noticing anyone crawling around the place in the last few days, perhaps?"

your holy symbol is made of platnum, and surprisingly is only a normal (not high holy) holy symbol. she touches it.

Re: The Beast of Veroigne

In reply to Narrator (msg # 796):

Ah, a holy symbol worth $1000 gp is a high holy symbol, is it not? I think that would be a misprint on the character sheet. But made of platinum, yes. I did not think that through.

Kirpich will get some food and water out for her, offering her some to eat.

With his true faith, and his senses, can he sense any change in her? Is she still human, and can she walk into the sunlight where she was invited?

"I thought the good lady here might like a bath. I'm sure there's a metal tub ssomewhere," answers Hannatti. "I could help her. You men staying away of course." Blindside of the farmer Hannatti points at her eyes and then teeth with a vague grimace intended to indicate she hoped to look for fang marks or punctures.

Open to that, but wait to hear from the GM about the last questions first. Would a roll be appropriate? If so, which one?

In reply to Kirpich Rockson (msg # 801):

giventhat most of that could be gauged by a different set of advantages and spells only, coaxing her out into the sinlight may work... she squints and blinks.

there is no metal tub, what was used as one was wooden, and burnt like much of the house by the breath of the beast

Re: The Beast of Veroigne

"By Federjung's beard," Balir mutters to himself, at the mention of the clawing at the door. He looks at the sun trying to estimate how long before sundown, and how long they would have left to fight the vampires if they left now for the tower. But as Hannatti speaks, he turns to Aethul. Knowing if it was in fact vampires is valuable information.

OOC: If we leave now for the tower, how much time would we have left before nightfall when we arrive?

Re: The Beast of Veroigne

"Scratching fingernails?" echoes Hannatti. "My guess would be not vampires and not wholly sentient. Maybe once human or demihuman and infected or regressed by the vampires. Perhaps akin to hunting dogs in function. But I'm guessing based on folk and fire tales. What do you think?" She looks at their resident expert, Kirpich.

Re: The Beast of Veroigne

In reply to Hannatti (msg # 811):

Kirpich is relieved to see she is not effected by holy water.

"I suspect full Vampires would have not been stopped by the door. Hence it is plausible that they may be human, or have been human. Perhaps ghouls. I think we should rest until dark, then stay outside, and kill whatever comes to us. That may mean we need to rest tomorrow, or attack, depending on what we find is outside already. Either way, I think we should allow time to go and ensure the seals remain after dawn tomorrow.

I hate to say it, but we should have gone tonight. But it is too late now.
"

[Private to GM: Kirpich rolled 9 under Hidden Lore (Undead) to know what else serves with Vampyres that likely caused the scratching.]

Re: The Beast of Veroigne

"Yes," Balir replies "We should have attacked today. But if we are lucky we might get to split them up, and get an advantage out of this after all. If someone comes here tonight we should be ready and kill them before they return to the hive and warn the others. We should try and prepare this place, so we can get an advantage here. Aethul, can you see footsteps leading in to this place? If not we may have bigger problems, as that could indicate they flew in.
Our horses presents an even bigger issue, as they can be seen a long way off. Not sure if we can hide them in any proper way.

He encourages her to look as he walks slightly behind and off to one side. He makes her stop every foot or so and point out what she sees.
He points out anythings she misses, which initially is quite a bit, but after 6 feet she is pointing out things, but can't say what they mean.

Different things, you have noted the grass trampled slightly, but we would benefit by finding a foot print or clothing or hair snagged by a twig or sticker.

[Private to GM: Some input as to what it is we are tracking would be appreciated.]

[Private to GM: Hi GM! Hannatti is trying to learn from Aethul (mechanically to clock up 200h for a point in Survival) so the RP here is just filling in, so it's completely fine if you want to take over narratively and move the story along. Having fun here! Thanks!]
