Iskander turns to the half-demon.
"Senyor, you should leave this place. But when Our Lord closes one door, He opens many others!"
Iskander turns back to Numba-one-Son.
"We've returned with the shipment of rice, and we have important news on the situation there. Also, we've found a strange deposit of sky iron, we've brought back with us. The master will no doubt need to make special preparations in order to retrieve it, without disrupting the local mana area."
Iskander says, trying to give him a chance to flee safely.

Deferring to Iskander seems to take a lot of will from the one eyed Ashigaru, but he returns his weapon to a guarded position.
"Xu, Chang Wang, Alert the Omo that the rice has returned... along with some kind of artifact he needs to attend to."

"This is Saishi Jin, a harvest priest we found near the village. He helped our group, during the clash we had with Pequenaud's men."

the wagons roll in, and the catfolk scramble to unpack the rice from the oxcarts, but leave the star metal to be transported to the Omo's smithy on the back of the compound and below.

Saishi continues to watch how things work... evaluating what the Lord is like from his subjects.

Now that the goods have been safely secured, Ales heads towards his room in the compound to rest and meditate before any potential encounter with the Omo.

after a much needed visit to the baths, the Omo summons you back to his audience chamber.

"My Lord, we found the site where the sky iron had fell on the way to the village. We collected it on the return trip. We hope that you are pleased."
Iskander says, bowing.

"The sky iron had been disrupting the travels of faerie folk, who were approaching Northport in order to avoid it and thus causing trouble among the farmers just outside the city.  Further, by the time we were able to return to it, it had begun to directly attract attention; we slew two chaos monks before we were able to move it.

"There is also the matter of a small portion of that morning's breakfast, which is now alive and speaks in my father's tongue, and chose to place itself within the sky metal while we returned here.  It seems harmless, but in truth we do not know what it can do, if anything other than move around and speak.  It calls itself Tekeli-li; I can translate if anyone wishes to speak with it."

"I presume you have already learned of what transpired with the Baron Pequenaud's men while we were at the village.  We defended against them, slaying several, but also secured the assistance of one Sir Robin, who leads a group who oppose the baron, in aid of the village."

"Where is Congee-san?"

"Likely still inside the sky metal.  Someone should go quickly to prevent problems with the smiths.  That likely should be myself, since I can speak to it.

"With your permission, Omo, I will attend to this potentially urgent concern immediately."  Unless there's an objection, Chou-Zhen bows deeply and hurries away to catch up to the sky metal and Tekeli-li.

"Go then, my brave strange one.  Saishi Jin, Welcome to my humble residence.  I have already had your tale confirmed by my servant Miko, and it is good that Tanaka remained with the village of Akitu-San.  Hopefully he can keep the Yūrei at bay until Master Phuong returns with Jin and the scrolls of geneologies. He should be no more than another week, if the trade winds are with us."

Chou-Zhen follows the route of the wagon with the sky metal, hoping to catch up before the smiths come into conflict with Tekeli-li.

The animated bit of congee is still in the web of sky iron when the eldrich mage catches up emwith the wagon.m, just as the smiths are pulling back the tarpaulin.
