Chye neatly bisects one of the bloodsuckers, and Iskander wounds another, causing it to retreat. the wasps hold two at bay, leaving to immediate threat, although Chou-Zen can pick off the remaining three.

Chou-Zhen takes aim at one of the ones the wasps have detained, and after a one-count again lets fly.

The stirge is stunned, and falls to the ground, mangling a wing in the process.

the other two fly out of range. one is badly injured.

Seeing the still flying stirges in retreat, Chou-Zhen approaches the most recently downed one, flips his whip to touch it, and gestures and speaks, raising a fire a yard across around it.
