Saishi and his dog are alert as they travel, only a little concerned about the weather.

Chou-Zhen once again takes up a position just behind the left wheel of the laden cart, walking empty handed with his leather whip coiled on his belt.  He watches the storm clouds pile up as he walks.

Ooc: Would Shape Air be enough to move the clouds in the opposite direction?

Chye removes his Jingasa's plume, adjusting it in anticipation of the coming rain.

Iskander scans the road, and skys.

Upon the mountains fall the rain. As you climb over your earthworks, you notice that the blood of one of the horses stains the pit. Climbing past, you realizrme you need to make a temporary ramp to.load the wagons  back onto the road with the oxen.

OOC: Saishi, I think that's from the horse that fell into the pit during the battle, just before you arrived.  I don't recall us having horses at all.

Still OOC: Boss, how high is the road above the paddy again?  A little geometry needed to calculate spell cost at 1 per 25 cubic feet...

Regardless, Saishi will calm the animal and heal it, bringing it with us if it can keep up so he can look after it. He will not allow anyone to ride it while it is injured.

There was a dead horse that fell in the pit and threw its rider.  The body was cleared, but blood remains staining the pit.. You have oxen with you.

With a little effort, you get past the earthworks and head down the iter toward Northport

True to his word, Chou-Zhen rides on the rear edge of the cart's bed for a mile or so until he's rested from ramp building and removal, then resumes his position walking behind the left wheel.

You plod northward along the raised iter, and soon leave the village and its rice paddies (and dragonfly patron) behind.

Saishi enjoys the walk, as usual, keeping his eyes open for any other groups that seem out of place here.

Chou-Zhen also looks around continually, reaching out with his inner sense for the feeling of mana reduction from the sky iron, as well as watching for other giant animals like those we saw before.
