Goran's divine shield springs into being, and he also realizes that holy water would be effective against thermse things.

With Hors to protect him, Goran steps to where the creatures are coming from, prepared to meet them should more appear.  He is sure to maintain a facing which will allow Urrun and others to assist him from afar.

Per rolls folks to determine where the little terrors are.

The ground is damp, the grasses, wild onions, garlic scapes and daffodils  are in motion...

With all the movement, the wind, the smells, and everything else, Goran is worried more about placing himself perfectly.  He's unfortunately too anxious and unsettled to relax, so he's effectively blind to what's happening around him.

You know where a few of them are, it will be -4 to hit them near blind.

He'll point out directions and give some idea of how many in each direction if he can, but he waits for targets before wasting a shot.

Goran immediately steps to the closest one, and swings at it with his flail.

[Private to GM: Should hit easily, made the roll by 9.  Return attacks will be a shield block, and he will also seek to block any explosions with his shield as well.

The little minster explodes. Your shield blocks the bone shrapnel, but the area attack of its explosion does 7 points before DR. The blast sets off a second one, which erupts further, doing 6 points before DR.

Goran's hair and face are singed by the explosions in front of him, and some of his hairs glow as they turn in to embers briefly.  The force of the blast causes Goran to step backwards, although he keeps his balance and his guard up.

Quietly, he begins to pray to Hors again, as the explosions he thought he could handle easily hurt.

OOC  Goran was being a bit stubborn there, and (may or may not have) learned his lesson.

[Private to GM: As Goran is down 8HP he will cast Major Healing.
17:33, Today: Secret Roll: Goran the Marked rolled 9 using 3d6.  Major Heal 15, 4 Fatigue, 8 healing on Goran.

He maintains his crossbow ready, switching out the silver bolt for a regular one now...

As the flames of the successive explosions continue to lightly char the dew dripping flowers, a young woman with green hair and bark clothing steps out from behind a tree.
"What are you doing to my flowers?"

Goran responds exactly like a stubborn old man would.  "I can handle them, just slipped and got off balance there."  Then he takes up position towards the front again, although he is more careful to stay out of their line of fire this time.

"I am sorry, young lady, but there are small demons running around trying to despoil not only your flowers, but everything else as well. When we kill them, they explode, but if we do not kill them, the go around cutting things, probably including flowers. We mean no harm to anything that belong in this lovely realm, but the evil invaders must be stopped before they contaminate your world. Do you not agree?"

Goran gruffly greets the lady "Hello, ma'am.  Please step behind me in case the angry demon children decide you're an easy target."
