Re: Return to temple hill

"Not so my lady. They remain still but something more urgent has been discovered. The standing stones have been desecrated by blood and have been carved upon. The stones feel queer and ancient paths have emerged in streambeds. The others are doing what they can but require aid and guidance that perhaps only you can provide."

Uncharacteristically Ginko lands before his lady and throws himself prostrate. He has become painfully aware that leaving his charges unattended is a breach of duty. Silently he hopes the discovery is urgent enough to forgive his delinquency.

"The stabding stones that are the nexus of the Ley Lines here? they myst be reclaimed! Have your charges exorcise as they much, I will send a loremaster to redress the stones. Go now, and do not let them out of your sight!

Re: Return to temple hill

Ginko bounces back up and retreats with as much grace as his fluttering heart can gather. It was a gamble returning to report to his lady but time was likely not on their side and who swifter a messenger than he?

[Private to GM: OOC: Same cautious flight back to the stones to report back to the group.]

In reply to Melchizidek (msg # 371):

there is a flash on the stone block in the center of the stone ring, first a large flickering outline, then the runes flicker, and there is a small (1 foot high) burst of blue flame and brimstone, very much a fizzle vs what was trying to manifest.

Urrun had his sling spun up and is confused when nothing appears, allowing the sling to swing back and forth with the bullet in it.

Stenet spares little time for the tiny fire, but continues the exorcism.

19:46, Today: Stenet Fjall rolled 6 using 3d6.  Hidden Lore (Demons) 12, Identifying the Demon from Between the Stars.

Yeah, if it is a DfBtS, Hidden Lore (Demons) isn't very useful (DfBtS are Elder Things).  Maybe they at least mentioned this "Demon" in his Demonology 101 class... or maybe it is an actual Demon-class monster, lucky us?

Hogarth will make his way to the place where the thing briefly manifest, and stand guard there, axe and shield ready. His cocked crossbow is on his back.

given the size penalty and invisibility after incursion (SM-5, invisibility-10, +6 for dramatic outlining with Bamf!)
the sling bullet misses.
the explosive entry guarantees that you were all aware of its arrival but noy its current location.
