He checks his crossbow is cocked and proceeds to higher ground, if any, to look around.

Stenet is extra wary.

Goran is careful as he steps through the portal.  He wants to be sure of his footing after their experience in the previous location.  Plus, it was important to look for signs of evil spirits or religion.  While he doesn't exactly hang to the back, Goran does move slowly for the first couple moments, while he gets comfortable with the location.

Gorn finds his mind wandering back to the mature witch in the Fall, so he isn't paying great attention to his surroundings.  The smell reminds him of their garden, and that elicits memories, still fresh for him.

Ooc: is Goran pondering Karen, the mature witch, or Carol, the one closer to his age?

OOC Their ages were not clear to me.  I thought he was closer in age to Karen as compared to Carol, but a real person in that situation would make a better judgement than I can at this distance.  Sometimes age doesn't matter as much when people get into that time of life either.

He's looking to settle down, so how about whichever one seems like the best match, assuming they showed interest in him back.  At his age, Goran's looking for companionship so he isn't alone.  He has no home as his village was overrun.  Someone to live life with would be nice too, but it's unrealistic to make that decision after only a few minutes of fighting the demonic Big Bird.

A number of child sized footprints and signs of something being dragged in a line,as if small children were carrying heavy blades and letting them scrape the ground. There are at least 6 different ones
