Ginko decides a bit of aerial reconnaissance is in order. He rises to about 10 yards, enough to get the general sense of roughly a mile in every direction, a little higher if terrain requires. From his lofty vantage he seeks the general lay of the terrain, bodies of water, roads, and settlements.

Stenet puts his back to the party to keep a solid watch on their rear.

The air is full of butterflies and chirping songbirds.  the forrest stretches into the distance, to one side, with evidence of some glades within, to the other side a stream flows into a distant lake. Flowering grasses grow high all around, studded with berry bushes.
