The Black Tower

The contruct stands with its tray, and makes an attempt to smile, revealing a a pair of ivory plates with abstract scrimshaw graviture instead of teeth.

The Black Tower

Haveron pauses when he sees the ivory 'teeth' in the animation.  Looking behind him, he asks "Have any of you seen anything like that before?  Look at the intricacy of his teeth.  Amelia?"

The Black Tower

Amelia looks at the creature's mouth more closely, and even takes a couple steps forward (followed closely by Omar).  After a moment, she responds by saying "I'm almost sure that I saw something or heard about something just like this somewhere.  Give me a minute, I can't quite place it yet.  It wasn't anything political that I can remember, it was something else. "

As she thinks hard about the image, and tries to recall the reference, she comments absently "With the proper fabric and stitching, the ivory would make a fantastic set of buttons on a blouse."

Shroud had finished his cup the moment he took it. Thinking to himself how much the cup is worth while examining it.

The Black Tower

The struggle to reach the tower had left Gorgath exhausted and he quickly drank down his offered drink.  Seeing Gareth neglect his own drink, Gorgath mumbled, "You gonna drink?" While pointing at the human's glass.

"Nah, you have it. It messes with Fire magic."

He looks also at the ivory teeth to see if the have any magical meaning.

[Private to Gareth: this guy appears to have gone out of his way to make his automatons aesthetically pleasing.

On the other hand, you are pretty sure that this golem is serving Essential Water

The Black Tower

Haveron subtly shakes his head, but does not say anything.  He was fond of Amelia, even protective of her.  He even considered the possibility of them being an item down the road some years, when he was ready to settle down.  Of course, there was much to do before then, so it wasn't a thought he could entertain for some years.  He still had to build up a company and reclaim his family lands.  Still, when he had a place to call home, Amelia's eye for quality would be very welcome.  She knew a lot about politics and heraldry, and the things associated with bureaucracy.  Unfortunately, that kind of knowledge was not very useful in the tower of a potentially evil mage.

[Private to GM: Hey, I think we're all waiting for some ruling around the images on the servant's teeth.  Amelia and probably Gareth were both looking.  Perhaps you meant for us to assume nothing was found by ignoring that, or maybe you didn't register it.  Given the uncertainty, I decided to clarify.]

In reply to Haveron Stormwal (msg # 13):

Ayiee a gazebo thing.

The use of decorated ivory instead of actual teeth was just a quirky aesthetic choice by the enchanter... perhaps a sign that there may be oddments of value scattered about.

"So who wants to keep exploring? We are stealing stuff right? As nice as the water is, probably don't want to just sit around forever."

Berry mostly wants to see what is in the rest of the tower.
