Since this thing likes to hold Gareth, he manipulates the mana around it with his mind...

Re: The Black Tower
In reply to Adept Yisslitheniss (msg # 650):

Between Safwan's brutal punch and the Adepts cleave, the beast, still breathing, collapses onto Gareth,  who needs a ST roll to escape before his spell takes effect... if it were conscious,  the roll would be opposed by 24...

meanwhile, the other one swings at Haveron, who parroes, and then cuts off one of its arms, and Omar slashes it... too stupid to die, it holds onto consciousness,  such as it is.

"Horror!" calls Amelia, not really aware of the repetition as she repeats her action of swinging her broadsword to little effect.

as long as the spell is maintained, the
victim will take damage; it would be 1d-1 per round.

Gareth stays well back, looking for an opportunity to vomit fire at the thing without hitting any of his friends ( higher priority, no attack if any significant risk).

Is there anything flammable near the one that had burning death cast on it?

Edit: I realised I forgot to update the HP. The total was wrong too. Have rectified.

the uncounscous smoking body twitches when you stab it.

meanwhile, Haveron chops off the other arm of his opponent

there is nothing here to burn.  the floor looks to be adamantine like the rest of the tower, and there are no furnishings or ornamentation... or much lighting for that matter...

somewhere out in the outer darkness, you here a pair of growls like these had made... then the sounds of bloodletting!

In reply to Amelia Montaigne (msg # 671):

Gareth maintains the spell to see if it does destroy the thing, checking the second body to see if it had any valuables when it stops attacking while the other decide what to do next.
