The size of men, with massively broad shoulders and thick arms carrying knobbed clubs, they have tiny waists and neckless broad heads with wide mouths full of shark teeth and blank white eyes.

These creatures, debased mind controlled slaves of Mindwarping elder things definitely mean you harm!

One lunges at the adept and claws at him, catching its hand on the sword for some damage it principally ignores despite spraying ichor. it then manages to bite his arm for 5 points cutting before DR.

Haveron nods, and goes low, and swings for the legs of the one Gareth hit, cleaving into the thigh.

the Adept perceives that their hide is as thinck as leather... he does considerable damage, but that only serves to make it angry!


the space is odd, an oval 9 yards by 12, with a two yard path extending out into the gloom at leat 20 yards

Deciding fireballs were a risk in melee, Gareth stands behind the adept and mutters a few words. Taking advantage of his greater height, he blows over his friends shoulder onto the body of the attacker a gout of fire!

[Private to GM: Breathe fire, rolled 7 under skill to cast, 3 under innate attack skill (beam) to attack, so hit unless dodged, 12 fire damage. Single round, 2 yard range as it is 2 dice, free due to high skill.]

Safwan will box with the creature starting with a body blow (-0). If this one is within one step of the creature, Safwan attacks at a 13. If this one must move and attack, Safwan rolls against a 9. Roll in log.

A hit either way--the creature may defend. Damage roll in log.

blood splatters as Yissthenis cleaves into the creature again, yet it keeps going, and tries to bite him, (for 7 cutting).  Safwan punches it as the blade withdraws, cracking a rib.

meanwhile the one Haveron crippled the leg of swings at him with its club, and misses by just a bit.
Gareth spits fire at it, singing it badly, but this only angers it.

Both of the brutes become paler, and start frothing at the mouth... and from the chest cavities in the case of the ones Safwan and Yissthenis are fighting.
