there is nothing here to burn.  the floor looks to be adamantine like the rest of the tower, and there are no furnishings or ornamentation... or much lighting for that matter...


somewhere out in the outer darkness, you here a pair of growls like these had made... then the sounds of bloodletting!

Gareth maintains the spell to see if it does destroy the thing, checking the second body to see if it had any valuables when it stops attacking while the other decide what to do next.

Was the noise we heard ahead, behind, or off in some other direction? Perception roll in log if needed.

the bodies were nude, the only possessions large crude clubs. As you approach the armless, Legless one that Haveton has been chopping up, it tries to bite you!

Roll in log. Fail, but my tough skin reduces the damage to 1 (unless you already accounted for that).

in the gloom. Amelia can see nothi g comi g up the stairs, and Yissthenis spots another floating set of stairs up, about 2 yards wide, also without risers or sides.
