as the one who attacked Gareth combusts, the Lizard priest is able to push back the reaver's blade, now he has -2 to defend.

the Adep's blade Cleaves under the Reaver's arm and into his chest! he drops to his knees, blood pouring out of his nose and mouth, before collapsing.


while there is smoke, there is no "area" for it to fill; it drifts away into the void.

Seeing his opportuity, the Adet turns and makes his way back down the stairs, stopping at the bottom.
We defend here or retreat?

Amelia utters an unhelpful, "Eeep! OK!" and then scampers down the stairs. She definitely doesn't want to be run down in this place.

Not sure where the landing is but Amelia is at the bottom of the stair, back pressed to a wall off to one side and some distance away.
