Re: Deathtrap

With all the talk about the body and armor and not any real action or moment the little pixie got so board he thought he search the bodies for something small that would be of interest to him.  He really could not see what all the fuss was about when it came to armor and weapons.  As for him helping.  That was out of the question.

OOC:
Extra search to see if something small and of value to the pixie the others have missed.  More because he board than any other reason.

20:31, Today: Rosewood rolled 12 using 3d6.  Search 12 or Scrounging 13 on bodies.

Re: Deathtrap

Rosewood studies the ring and cleans it up.  Most likely an old wedding ring the pixie knows magic can be found in strange places so he just checks.  Fortune favors the bold pixie.  Rosewood found he is more bold than he ever imagined.  Even if it is not magical rosewood tries to work out how much the rings is worth.

OOC:
20:40, Today: Rosewood rolled 12 using 3d6.  Hidden Lore: Magical Items 13.
If not magic (it wish) what do I roll to work it value out is IQ?

In reply to Leroy du Lac (msg # 271):

that would be correct, but even if it were worth a single gold piece, that would be $80. it may be worth more, and sadly is not magical.

In reply to Narrator (msg # 272):

Noting the gold, Anita checks the other bodies as well for valuables...again, wondering how she missed that. (see Message #183 for the first check of valuables!)

"My cousin may be able to give a better evaluation. He does make such, after all."

So is this guy going to help us haul? We can't speak on behalf of someone who is not here, and we do not have the money up front, so this discussion is going no-where if he is waiting for promises we cant make.

In reply to Anita Drake (msg # 273):

This guy may be the only option,  also he just wants an immediate payday; your cousin can swing that as he has been doing well.

iirc there was a failed search roll on one body, and it is a matter if you are looking for pouches of coin and knives, or rings under blood and muck that had been holdi g a shield.

In reply to Narrator (msg # 274):

Oh, I the player totally get failed search rolls! But the character, noticing she missed something that valuable, would be taking notes to make sure it did not happen again!

I also get that her cousin may well be in a position to pay for it, but this guy is expecting her to speak on his behalf...and that is something she could not do on principle. Better to drag the stuff through the streets, as noisy as that may be, than to make promises she has no power to keep.

Re: Deathtrap

Rosewood studies the ring he got.  Trying to understand why the large people find such metal object so important.  Why they put such value of these things.

OOC:
OK I think rosewood understand just taken big leap forward.
11:29, Today: Rosewood rolled 4 using 3d6.  Study the shinnies IQ-6

In reply to Narrator (msg # 278):

Well, then, if he wants an instant payday, then our only option is for Rosewood to fly off and sell the ring. Or he accepts to carry the stuff to Anita's cousin, and Anita will ask him to pay the transport. Which he likely would, but there is no guarantee.

Re: Deathtrap

Rosewood flys over to Leroy du Lac.  Shows him the ring and tell him he found it on the bodies.  Tells Leroy he worked out that it is worth $1680 and ask if he can keep it.

OOC:
You don't expect Rosewood to understand trade and buying services do you?

You want to melt it down so we each get a bit of the ring?
Rosewood asks looking at the object sadly.
It seems a shame to do that.  I think it looks better as a whole ring.

The little pixie looks at Leroy du Lac a little confused.
