Leroy deploys the caltrops in strategic areas, within their kill zone. Then, he looks for place where they can defend, without being surrounded, or in the way, when fire is hurled from above...

Marcus also finds cover to fire from.

I think we are talking about arrows?

If not someone needs to dump oil (preferably with the caltrops) to be ignited with alchemical fire

OOC:when they turtle up, we'll douse them and their shields in the oil, and follow up with the alchemical fire, right? The caltrops properly placed, should hinder their advancement, and also their escape.

I remember that being the plan, just not sure who had the oil...Anita was firing Crossbow bolts at leaders.

These items were purchased;  Anita's crossbow might not be very effective agai st a turtle,and oil fromabove needs be thrown by someone.

Right, which bring me back to my question...Is there no one else? Assuming they start in a turtle. Anita will take some of the oil and lay it where she can grab it very easily to throw below....who else will be shooting?

Your party consists of Marcus the archer, Anita the cutpurse, Leroy the fighter, Rosewood the pixie, and Gordab the ogrekin.

Marcus can fire 1 arrow a second.  I suggest Anita fire her crossbow one then start throwing oil.
