Re: The Alchemist's Lair

"You brought her along to keep your bedroll warm.  Don't give yourself the idea I want to replace her."  The elder sister's hand strays to the whip coiled at her belt.

As if called aloud, the younger sister comes to her Queen's side.

"What's up, Holiness?"

Masugatan snorts. “No need for the whip.  I don’t know where you got the idea that I wanted you to warm my bedroll, but don’t worry about it: I’m sure you’d have the opposite effect.”

"So, there you see, Emma -- it would seem that this stone has the property of cleaning anything laid upon it.  I'm not sure I'd want to lay myself on it -- some magic meant for objects has undesired effects on people -- but it ought to be safe to put clothing or weapons there, to take them back in a fresher state."

"Perhaps. Good to be sure though." She ignored the other discussion behind her. Do we have any particularly dirty items that need cleaning to try?

Also, how big is the stone slab?

"Hell, I could ise a bath, and I amnot alone in that," she says, eyeing Masugatan.

with that, she hops on the stone, and all the grease, grime, and trail dust is lifted from her and her gear.

"Well, that's quicker than heating a bath, but where's the fun if you don't get naked first?"

The younger sister sounds just a little disappointed.

Re: The Alchemist's Lair

OOC:  Jednesa can lift the ox cart.  She can almost carry a ton at Extra Heavy Encumberance, she can carry more than a ton (2,700 pounds) at "stagger slowly" speeds.  She might be able to lift and carry this slab, depending on what type of stone it is (like if it's pumice 100% yes, if it's gabbro/peridotite/basalt/granite 100% no, if it's just between them... eh, maybe.  Probably with Extra Effort and some good rolls).  The hard part is the size of the rooms and tunnels.  Everything would need to be embiggened for her to get through with that stone on her back.  Or just cut her a new tunnel right straight through the side so she just has to shift it onto the cart, that she could do even if it's gabbro (the densest stone).  But at that point, the oxcart could not handle it.  It might be one of those treasures we need to asses if it's worth renting a strong enough cart and coming back for.

But personally, either way this is one of those treasures that it might be best to "seal it all up and pick it up on the way back".

OOC:  Definitely "bring back a bigger wagon" and carefullingly nudge it into the wagon.  Then sell the whole piece (wagon included) to some sap and let them deal with unloading it.

At the younger sister's urging, the elder sister also briefly takes a seat on the stone.

"Oh, I see what you mean, Holy Sister.  But I do feel really, really clean.  I think I could get used to this, but it'll never replace a nice, hot, soaky bath."
