Re: The Alchemist's Lair

Narrator:
In reply to Jednesa (msg # 110):

the jelly recoils from the hit, and is struck a moment later with a small glass vial, which fizzes, even as it sits halfway into the bubbling mass of the thing.. .
throwing a breakable object onto a squishy targeydoes not necessarily cause it to brak.

Masugatan tries to remedy this by chucking a throwing axe at the bottle.

07:01, Today: Masugatan rolled 12 using 3d6.  Throwing axe.

In reply to Jednesa (msg # 114):

Emma watches the effects of the fire, and of Jednessa. If Jednessa seems to have little effect, she will ask her to step back.

Looking for an opportunity to fire past her big friend, she will fire her sunbolt only if she gets a clear shot.

[Private to GM: Rolls 8 under skill to hit, 4 damage.]

Has Christine finished looking at the book yet?

Christine is able to recover the book without too much trouble? If the slime is burning, she does not want to put it out with acid...

But perhaps she could use the fire to call Crispin?

Re: The Alchemist's Lair

In reply to Christine Bjorn (msg # 127):

Emma was surprised at Christine's suggestion. Sure the small living fire had a lot in common with the sun, but she had never directed it.

"Umm, Crispin, please don't burn Jednessa. We need to make sure this ooze is done for. Please feel free to consume it though."

The door is open, right? If there is a shortage of light there, then Emma will move down the steps to squeeze past Jednessa to light the room, concerned about a flaming ball leading the way into a possible flammable storeroom.

At first, Masugatan is confused.  Then his primitive street brain fully evaluates what he just heard, confirms the world 'pornography' really was mentioned, and a look of joyous bliss transforms his face.

"Maybe I should check that book for traps.  Alone."
