the room beyond is at least neat, containing a made up cot, and a chair and table, along with a makeshift shelf containing stacks of pamphlets. tacked to the wall are several broadsheets. some quite nicely bordered with embelishments.

under the cot are a chamberpot, and a box.

He closes the door behind himself and then looks at the posters, then the booklet's to see if those are what was described.

a couple of the posters and pamphlets appear to be as described (posters are A4, pamphlets are A6-quarter sheet size)
although there are others, some apparently just smartly printed advertisements for services, and one wanted poster for someone named Balar the Red...

I check th other documents to ensuure they match what he was to get, then looks around a little, very carefully, the door trap, such as it was, telling him to expect more.

some of the pamphlets match the items described, although there is a triunist hymnal that has anodd layout.

benesth the bed are a locked box snd a chamberpot.

So we will take copies of the handouts and the Hymnal.
Then look at the box under the bed and ensure the Thunder Mug is in fact one of those.

the box has a several locks, likely most of them are false.

Doesn't sound like popping the hinges would work well then. I'll slide a thin edge along the gap between top and bottom, while staying well clear of things flying out or whatever, and feel for the hooks or latches, assuming the real ones will move slightly and the Fake probably will not.

you quickly determine which lock is legit- the one on top, and not the front or sides!in so checking,  you manage to spring the lock, opening the box to reveal a sack of voin and more pamphlets,  these however appear to be bundles of woodcuts depicting nude women, some engaged in lewd acts with eachother, or some well endowed man resembling Felix...

I will take one of each as well, serious debate over lifting some or all of he coin, but it's not a part of my job, and I do get paid for it, so I leave the coins untouched, with great restraint. I close the box and gather my findings, mixing the lewd stuff in with e other folders. Then I listen at the door.

How hard would it be to reset the trap? Obviously Felix did it.

you realize he did it by setting it up on a piece of parchment and sliding it out under the door.

He sets it up and then pulls the parchment, but almost loses it nd blows the set up ... he is barely able to  save the effort.
 He takes the parchment and very carefully steps away from the door and has back down stairs.

Oly turns, catches his toe on a board, stumbling and making quite a loud thump as he catches himself on the bannister, all but ripping it from the floor.  Mr Grace bungles it massively.
