that northward passage looks like itmight run parallel to the baths, although it would probably link up with the yard wide east/west passage immediately before the entrance.

Re: I smell silver

Mario speaks quietly.  "Let's get a good look down there to the right before we put it behind us, maybe even toss a light stone down that way.  I think we're going to cross the narrow way from just outside where we met the Plumber's men before long."

Clarence will create one if there are none spare, though he will throw an old one and keep the new on.

[Private to GM: Continual Light, rolled 3 under skill. When did we last rest to recover energy? He will create a daylight strength one if he has fp.]

Re: I smell silver

After peering down the side branch where Clarence tossed the light stone, Mario nods to Jareth.

"May not, but we won't know until it does or doesn't.  I think whoever built these passages -- the Romans? -- didn't make them to actually get anywhere."

"Well no, an yes.  T'ese are maintenance tunnels an start of t'e storm drainage, some more like grand causeways, stretching across t'e city, interconnecting, allowing travel from one side t'e ot'er.  But most are built service local districts an neighborhoods.  An I believe mostly built by t'e goblins what were here before humans moved into t'e city.  I suspect the majority of t'e old goblin holdings are below t'e storm runnoffs, warrens and towns, who knows what is down t'ere now.  Trolls I gather."

He looks around for Charlene and beckons to Clarence.  "Let's go look around the corner so we don't get surprised."

the space is 1 yard wide by two high. Thrusting weapons only.

"Clarence, I don't know that we need to worry about this, I just wanted to avoid surprises while we examine the door.  Let's back out to the others."

Once back to the main group, Mario relays what's there, and then looks to Jareth and Nodwin.

"Do we want to open this door?  Or is it likely to be more of the Plumber's people?"
