Re: I smell silver

"You mean the flame lord?  If it's food for him, why store it ten feet in the air on a black stone pillar, rather than in a bin close to the furnace he lives in?

"No, I think it's here for its own reason, but someone probably comes here from time to time -- or else there's some magic in the pillars or the racks up there that keeps it from rotting."

It seems to be some sort of lock, magical of course. How the obelisks and fountain interact I do not know exactly.

Re: I smell silver

Well with a Lion's mouth with the water running out, may be not letting it roar, assuming that means spewing a LOT of water.

Re: I smell silver

"I agree, Jocelyn.  If that lion started letting out a lot of water, it'd make sense why they have a watertight door to this room."  He looks up, estimating the height of the ceiling vaults.  "It would also be pretty bad for us unless we open the door pretty quick, and then there'd be a lot of water running out into the room below the tepidarium."

"You said a rune for fire, Jareth?  Fire and water are opposites, right?"

Re: I smell silver

"Maybe the door was open last time the lion roared.  That much water kept in this room would be bad news for anyone stuck in here, though."

Does the door open into the room -- where the weight of water would hold it closed -- or out into the larger space?
