In the middle of combat there simply isn't time to listen to lengthy monologues, so on hearing '..The child is a vampire..' Hannatti acts accordingly and strikes twice.

Bali does his best to keep the child pinned against the wall, but he is a slippery little fellow with a surprising amount of strength.

OOC: 10:05, Today: Balir Ironhide rolled 17 using 3d6.  str roll (14).
I rolled 17. I believe that is a critical failure since I don't have 16 strength.

I gather the bright light has no affect on the child or his Mother?

sunlight level brightness of light isn't full spectrum sunlight, you need light plus colors for that, or sunbolt.

The child pushes Balir over, and while crouched atop his shi er ld, Hannatti strikes twice with her rapier!

roll damage,balir roll ST+2 to get up from under the child, who while supernaturally strong, is not any heavier than a 6 year old, and in their current position, has no leverage.

OOC: WIHTOUT OPening the door can we tell  (in passing) if it's a four legs (wolf etc) or two legs (zombie/vampire spawn etc)?
