"So, where is the gate? Is it safe to rest here for five minutes?" asks Alastrine.

======
OOC Is there some shade here near the water that we can safely use?

[Private to GM: Done a fair bit already since joining this group and, TBH, was hoping for a couple of CP.. Maybe when we jump realms?]

If conditions, shade and running water, feel likely to allow Recover Energy to work then Alastrine will take five minutes rest before trying to find the nearest gate by casting 'Seek Gate'. (Otherwise she tries it immediately.)

======
OOC: Does Recover Energy work? (+1FP)
21:17, Today: Alastrine rolled 12 using 3d6.  Seek Gat(e)

In reply to Melchizidek (msg # 524):

There were no particular landmarks of where the gate was; no archway on this side.

Alastrine, after recovering some of her energy, does locate it, in an area thatlooks fairly similar to your current location.

Alastrine shares the gate's location, "Here is a gate. Which is not to say it's the gate you wanted, but it was the closest open gate from where you saw me seeking for it when in the maze. I can try to sense what is on the other side, but it will leave me fairly drained." Not actually intending to be a complainer, Alastrine is neither by nature nor practise a front-line, field operative.

Alastrine gives Melchizadek a small curtsy by way of thanks and then concentrates to cast Scry Gate.
If the gate is open then she will be able to perceive images, sounds smells through the gate for up to a minute.

======
OOC: Alastrine grateful accepts 2FP from Melchizadek
23:04, Today: Alastrine rolled 10 using 3d6.  Scry gate 15, cost 3FP, but 2 for bookkeeping as the Seek Gate cost reduction got missed)
 (This is one directional perception; the other side does not gain the same.)
