the statue, which is homogenous and lacking several vital areas takes a considerable amunt of damage, and looks battered.

it swings and stabs past Hograth,  just missing him!

"Smash it's legs!  If it falls we can retreat from it and it can't keep up."

Stenet waits, prepared to step in over a fallen comrade and defend them...

He finally gets it... He adjusts and swings a determined attack with his axe, at the same spot on it's leg that Hograth is swinging at.
