Berry will move at a normalish pace, making sure not to fall behind. (And leading the way if no one else does.) What are these guys anyway? How did they get here? They're intruders like- uh, intruders?

Gareth success in understanding how he can destroy magical material, but is not sure how to analyse what needs to be destroyed (he does not have the spell Analyse Magic, is there something else he can use?). He suggests that rather than to try to invade the void on their own, he check the master's library for some direction.

Safwan has never been t this area before today

Safwan may know how to get to a restricted area,  but we have to play out getting there.

level 1 is the entryway, where you smashed the front door, fought and destroyed stone golems, diced up the self repairing butler, and set off the stone golems by burning the wallpaper.

level 2 down is the golem recharge room

level 3 down contains the library where Safwan was.

the restricted area is two or three le els deeper.

Amelia has no idea how this tower works but suggests, "When I had sleepovers and didn't want parents 'checking' we'd put a wedge under the door."

He struggles to remember the spell...  and attempts to cast it...  it almost works... he shrugs off the fatigue and concentrates to cast again, this time it takes with real power.

I'm nearly useless at combat and I don't do spells. I can tell you which fork to use and speak eloquently to the rich and noble." She shrugged. "But then there's why I'm here. That's easy. I'm hoping to blag a share of something really valuable so that then I can get some really nice clothes! Handbags work too!"

Haveron leaned in when Amelia started speaking, and then chuckled under his breath. "Just stick close, and behind me, and you won't have to fight. he offered somewhat reassuringly.

"From what I've though, that tongue could charm a demon into retreating back to hell after having a light tea. he chuckled deeply, continuing into jest. "I'm sure there'll be plenty to go around, one of the best reasons to come on trips like that, I've always thought people seeking adventure were really just mincing words."

She laughed; a surpisingly lighthearted sound. But she does follow closely behind him.

*** the wet room has a valve 12 feet off the ground, which Safwan can reach when the room is 6 feet deep in water. The advantage Safwan has is that th e clinging, encumbering, biting clockwork fish will not attack them.  not necessarily the same foranyone else. and only one doorcan be open at a time.  You might want to take the long way.

According to the Narrator, Safwan can only get the water off after some has already filled the room. This one has asked if there is a way to drain the room, but there has been no response.

Our current options are go through the wet room risking construct bites, wet gear, and possible drowning; the left path, where Safwan can point out the pressure plates that trigger the darts; or the right, carpeted path, which may have unknown hazards or perfect safety.

The door to water room has to be closed for the water to start flowing. Safwan has to let the water partly fill the room to turn it off and drain it. The drain valve is too hard for Gareth to turn (is anyone stronger than Safwan (14))? This seems designed to be too fiddly to even bother trying to defeat. Any ideas?

Amelia suggests, "One of the side passage sounds better than the water tank. Do we know how many darts? Or can we bridge the pressure plates with a door or something?"

tiles are 18" square and the corridor is 2 yards by 8 with 2 small tables on the left hand side that are 2 feet by two feet


each table has a covered vase,themages within your group can see a torchbright mage light glow from each.

as the Adept ptesses on the tile,there is a faint hiss and asmall dart fires out of the right hand wall striking the scabbard at waist height.

Berry sighs, shaking her head. "At least one of them sometimes lies and sometimes says the truth. We have two statements. 'One always tells the truth' and 'the other always lies.' If the first statement was true, it would be self-referential. That means the second statement was a lie, and so second one sometimes lies. If the first statement was false, that means neither always tells the truth, but neither can both always lie because then the second statement would be true, a contradiction."

Ultimately, we can trust neither.
