the spell :control gate, which has the prerequisite Seek gate, magery 3,seek magic and 1 spell from each of 10 different colleges.  the gate in question is the doorway at the base of the stairs.

A hazmat magical materials roll at -2 might help with how,  analyze magic would help with what specifically needs to be destroyed, there may be a book in the Master's library that helps.

Gareth success in understanding how he can destroy magical material, but is not sure how to analyse what needs to be destroyed (he does not have the spell Analyse Magic, is there something else he can use?). He suggests that rather than to try to invade the void on their own, he check the master's library for some direction.

Safwan's library is back on the floor <grunt> where you first encountered this one (GM: is this right?). Remember, the master has a secret library where various books on magic were removed to.

Amelia, feeling rather useless, tucks in and moves with the others.

Berry sighs at needing to move as quickly as possible, but she gets ready to regardless. She does not want to get stuck when alarm bells are going off!
