When Virgilio is safely past the pit, Grohm went back to escort the rest of the party to the safe zone.

As they flee the pit, Dne calls back mockingly, "Anybody DOWN there?"

He always wanted to say that.

Now that the immediate threat is gone, Jendrich asks "does anyone have bandages? I need to patch up Virgilio."

I need something... sore as all hades.

As soon as the door closes behind the last of the group, Virgilio lowers himself to sit against the wall.

"I'm certainly glad that's over with.  I'd go to the Hadereum or some other temple for healing, but I'm not sure I could make it up the stairs just now."

"Thank you, Tommy, but let me sit for a moment.  I'm pretty sore from getting stuff dropped on me, and I was already a little hurt before that."

Dne slumps down for a rest.  He needs a magical recharge, and besides, he’s just plain tired.

Svetlana, noticeably pregnant gets into a quick trollish conversation with Ulo for a few minutes.  Neither seems to like eachother very much, but they come to some kind of agreement.

"Come, peoples, there is food and potion in the hall. Come see Angrid."

Grohm sighed.  He stood up reached a hand out to Virgilio to help him up and get moving.

"That's the best news I've heard all day."  Virgilio accepts the offered hand and leans on any offered shoulders to head into the hall to see Angrid.  "I think the last time I was this sore was after coming third in the tower climbing contest at the Academy."

He just struggles in with the crowd, glad he had not sat down yet.

Dne rises warily.   Trust isn’t a highlight of his personality, but he is eager for rest and healing.  At least the floor itself isn’t trying to eat him at this time.

"I think that's a misnomer.  That beast doesn't sleep, at least at the moment.

"It ought to be possible to reopen that route, but it's likely to require more and greater heroes than we have at hand."

"Certainly, but sometimes the weakness is outside the realm of what mere men can offer.  I'm no great combat wizard; most of my training is in research -- and a wizard, or several wizards, will be needed to battle that thing.  You'd need siege machinery to do much physically, and the spells to harm it would be more than I can cast even if I knew them."
