The corridor is two yards wide with a 1 yardwide carpet running down the hallway.

The Adept takes the lead with the rest following, he walks up the corridor to the end/ first door/intersection.

Amelia follows, heart pounding after her unacustomed bravery with the door thing. She grips her cheap sword in one hand and fingers her necklace with the other.

Safwan can attempt to force their way through the pentagram's magic in a contest of (ST+Will)/2 vs the strength the spell was cast at.

otherwise, no magical being or hostile magic may cross, deface or enter/exit a pentagram.

A pentagram may be ritually cut with chalk or charcoal, this typically uses the Ritual magic skill, or thaumatology-5 to do so.

"Maybe we should use the door?" suggests Amelia tentatively.

Just to be clear again, because this is not...we crossed over the pentagram, then through the door into the corridor we can see, and from that corridor we broke into the library and the lab. So the pentagram is on the other side of the door to the smoke and fire cloud, and the dispel magic was of such a diameter that it effected all of it, at least 5 yds RADIUS, by my calculations if the pentagram was 2 yds in diameter and it was right in front of the door that had heat on the handle...which will start cooling now...

the only door near the pentagram was on the opposite side, between the demon/salt door and the dark door.

on your side of the pentagram is a short L shaped hallway with the pentagram at the end of the short leg of the L.

there are 3 doors.

two, opposite th shortleg are the back door to the jam packed library, since broken open, then another door on the same side wich is also magelocked, and finally
a door opposite that one, leading into the lab which had a combo lock and is open, and most of the party is inside.

on your side of the pentagram but before the corridor turns there is smoke and a firestorm, dangerously close (2 yards) from all of that flammable paper.

sitll ablaze,and wincing from the blast, he advances and swings at Gareth, doing 9 pts cutting before DR unless defended against!

Shroud quietly steps over to the doorway and peeks out at the reavers advancing away. He aims at their backs.


Can Shroud see any gaps in their armor from behind for targeting?
