Gareth will come around the door to attack the caster with his Jo if he can this round. If not, he will wait behind the adept...

the spell caster parries the Adept's attack, and retreats, dodging the strike from Gareth, backing up the steps...

If he uses his staff, Gareth will try to touch the other Reaver in range...but not successfully.

the reaver has a sword in one hand and parried The Adept's blow. Gareth is not able to get at him because Haveron is on the way.

Berry's attack does hit him, and hurts him;
Shroud, who has been aiming for a while lets loose with his arrow and strikes him in the remaining eye, this time dropping him.

Gareth will push past the injured Haveron this round in that case. He is hurt, and should not be at the front...then he will work with the Adept to try to reach past his to target the reaver. Adept is willing?

I will target the most healthy swordsman. The door thing worked in keeping them coming one at a time, but severely hampered Gareth's ability to contribute directly...

Gareth's spell releases, and at first nothing seems to be happening, until tendrils of smoke start to leak out of the chinks in the armor,
 and out of the orifices of the unconsious reaver.
Haveron shakes his head.

Most of you have seen this spell before, cast on the leader of the brigands in the mountain pass from Aral to Valdassya.

Omar alone does not seem to recognize it, and makes a sign against evil once the spell comes to fruition a few moments later.

Haveron turns away, and dispatches the other reavers more mercifully, before the smoke intensifies and this one erupts into flames.

A moment or two later and the ruins of its once ornate and expensive armor collapses into the pile of ash, its value as treasure greatly diminished.

With the number of dead reavers in similar armor, Gareths doubts that they could carry it all back anyway. But for now the emphasis is on getting back to the gate and closing it...and Gareth tries to direct the group to that end, emphasising the urgency.

"By all means, let us close the gate then.  Berry?"

The boddies are lootable; Haveron has administered more merciful ends to the other wounded.

Amelia remains quietly tucked in the corner.
