In reply to Harou (msg # 1):

the other group gradually becomes smaller as they make their way down the switchback trail.

In the distance, you can hear a faint gong and horns behind you and to the left...

Jednesa had just been settling in for a nap when the gong sounded.  She stands and looks about, first moving the cart off the road and out of the way, then resettling herself and the gnolls also off the road so travelers (or troops) can pass by without her small clan being underfoot.


OOC:  Groups of hyenas (6 to 100 in number) are referred to as clans.

In reply to Jednesa (msg # 3):

a couple of dragonmen are running toward you from the road between the hills when a large boulder slams into them, knocking them over like bowling pins.

Jednesa gets up to look around and try to see who threw the boulder.

one of the injured-but-not-yet-dead dragonmen gets to their knees, and cries out something

Jednesa begins walking, she half turns and says back to the gnolls, "Harou, protect cart," and then continues on towards the wounded dragonman.

In reply to Jednesa (msg # 9):

"Jotuni!"

"What?" she asks loudly, but keeps walking towards the downed dragonfolk.

In reply to Jednesa (msg # 11):

another large rock flies your way, carroming off of the hillside.

Jednesa half turns to the cart and the gnolls, "Harou, pull dragon people to cart, do not kill," then she turns towards where the boulder came flying from and bellows a challenge, "JEDNESA IS HERE!  COME FIGHT A HERO YOU COWARDS!"


OOC:  21:12, Today: Jednesa rolled 6 using 3d6.  Intimidation 10, trying to anger (goad) them into coming in to fight.

In reply to Jednesa (msg # 13):

there is a roar, and two massive hulking oarmored ogres with maces grafted to their hands come into view!

Jednesa brings her crude iron wedge to hand and roars in response, "NIKDY ŽIVOT NAŠI HODU PŘIPRAVUJE!"


OOC:  Readying her hand-axe/mace, taking a Step towards them.

one charges, the other is slightly behind- it smashes Jednesa in the tordo for 22 cr unless defended  against

Jednesa steps aside of his brutal hammer blow, focuses on the one ogre ignoring his partner, and returns a swing of her own with the axe edge of her weapon aimed at his head!


OOC:  All-Out-Attack (Dedicated), aimed at head.
18:22, Today: Jednesa rolled 9 using 3d6.  Dodge 10, to not be hit by Siege Beast hammerblow.
18:26, Today: Jednesa rolled 9 using 3d6.  Axe/Mace 14 (skill 13 +4 AOA -5 Head + 2 foe's SM).
18:27, Today: Jednesa rolled 22 using 5d6+7.  Potential damage 5d+7 cutting.

the first one ducks, just missing the axe blow.
the seconf hammers and punches at Jednesa  for 18 crushing and 11 crushing unless defended against

Her opening gambit failing and this becoming a battle of attrition she cannot win, Jednesa tries a new tactic.  She steps back and prepares for their next attacks and drops her handaxe/mace...


OOC:  Jednesa AOAed on her action, no defenses, takes 6 injury from the first hit, none from the second.
6 injury is below her Berserk threshold.
Her Maneuver this turn:  All Out Defense (Bonus), +2 Parry.

the Siege beasts prepare for another attack

one of the Siege beasts swings at Jednesa, doing 17 crushing before DR. it also tries to grab Jednesa.

the other is dealing with gnolls that are attacking, and a couple launch stones at its eyes, but they rattle off the helmet.
