Christine does not want to know about what is going on and moves away from their tent...her focus outside the camp.

The dwarf proceeds gingerly, not wanting to damage anything. "Being quiet and comfortable is a blessing, lass," he says quietly.

Masugatan snickers quietly as he turns in.  In the past, he would have found such nearby revelry stimulating.  But he wasn't a young man any more... or at least, he no longer felt like one.  These days, he's all business.

Or so he thinks.

Valerie smiles at Masugatan's winking, and employs stealthiness as she usually does to avoid Christine's ire.

The night passes uneventfully in terms of outside forces exerting influence on the camp,
and the subtle changes in interpersonal dynamics within the camp are lost on the oblivious mage.

You break camp with a little more cheer than one might expect given that it is mosquito season and you were near the creek.
Most of you are a trifle itchy.

Masugatan asks the good witches if they know a way to keep the bugs off him.  Perhaps some herbal concoction that would drive them away?

Ginger doesn't say much at breakfast, certainly nothing committal, but he does grsvitate towards Elaida more than on previous days.

“Any chance your frog god could start eating them before they can eat me?” He rubs the swollen red lumps all over his face and arms.

"I'm afraid not.  The limitation is ours, not our god's; there is a limit to what Holy Sister and I are able to retain of our god's power, and we made the choice to concentrate mainly on healing.  I have some abilities to attract and manage a congregation, and some nature things, but our usual method of dealing with mosquitoes has been to take off our clothes and roll in mud, then wash and dress once we've left the area where they're a problem."

He grins, but doesn’t say it.

Away from your mossy camp, there is little mud to be had.
On the other hand, you soon find traces of another, older camp, one where a fire was buried but plenty of other careless traces
remain.  Perhaps a dozen human sized folk had been here within a few days.
