You get several miles in the stinging cold, entering a barren snow drifted forest of leafless beeches and some evergreens when
you see some tracks in the snow that look strange, as if something was being dragged, but the smaller tracks do not look like they were
doing the dragging.

"I don't do tracking..."

He mutters.

Tracking simple, why ask? Went that way.

"I want to know what made the flat track," answers Alastrine. "A snake? Something with an internal fire? Something more mundane like dragging a casualty on a board or dragging a chest?"

definitely a large snake of some sort, looks to be stalking the giant ermine, and from the traces it leaves, it is furred rather than scaled.

"Got it!" announces Alastrine. "It's a furry snake stalking the huge ermine."
