various persons try to engage you in group prayer, or try to sell you talismans of various faiths.  straing past the crowd, some of which seems to be rebuilding after a very recent fire, you canjust make out the path that leads up and into Temple Hill proper.

Rosewood does his best to stay out the way watching from Anita Drake shoulders.
A new purpose in the little fairy now means he more interested in understanding and learning first hand about how others act.  One that is now tempered by an understand that most creatures are out for their own gain.

Rosewood looks around.  The dark pixie dust in his eyes sparkles.  Almost as if they were on fire.
His wings sparkled with all the colours of the rainbow.

In a low whispered voice he says.

I see you evil leprechaun.  Even if you disappear and others don't see you I do. Rosewood Says.
Mark my words.  The days of you picking on Rosewood and fairy's are numbered.

OOC:
This is going to take some explaining.  But this is a long running part of Rosewood story and the game.  A odd and confusing part of the game.  Also fits with one of Rosewoods flaws.  It will make little sense once the above post has been updated...  Players smiles at Anita Drake/Aine Walsh.

On the Road to Autumn

Hello François and Hello Montclair.  It is nice to meet you.  I do hope we can get along well.
As I said I am Rosewood.  The human is called Anita Drake and the creature behind is called Atticus Belvedere Silexum.  To sum things up.  I was asked to leave the Summer Court.  Mab, Queen of the Winter Court ask me in person to join her realm but I did not find myself at home there.  The Queen gave me direction to come here as the Autumn Court may hold the answer to where I may find a new home.  A realm I can call home.  That is why I wish to enter the Autumn Court and talk to the fay there.

OOC:
Look around confused - social skills - Rosewood spent most of his life talking to books.  Leroy du Lac was his first friend that was not a fairy from his childhood.  Social skills.  The only social skills he has it his blunt to the point innocent honesty.  So that something he going have add to his list of things to learn.

Oh dear. He says.  The fairy then flys off to face the big Ogre.
I am so sorry.  I am not good at this talking thing.  Leroy du Lac usually does all the talking.  Please forgive me?

He asks the Ogre.  Rosewood is clearly upset with his mistake and does not wish hurt the Gordab feelings.

He slowly picks himself up and looks around.

make a DX roll all trying to stand. there is a vertigo like sensation you can't quite escape, that down is a direction diagonal to the ground and not straight toward it. you feel like you might fall forever on a misstep were it not for the trees.

The air is crisp and the sky looks close to sunset. the trees are riotous with oranges, yellows and reds.

Kiran shuffles his pack into a more stable position and tightens the straps. Rotating so his head is in a more upright position before moving down the slope, sliding, crawling or bear walking as needed. Unconcerned about the slowness of his progress, he works his way down toward the pile of leaves, making sure to stop short of touching them.

Move at 5 but crawling is 1/3, so 1 or 2 yards a second.

The game of three questions has a long and great history in the fay culture.  The fact you allow me to take part is an honor.  It is also my understanding that it is just as much about the intelligence, wisdom, motivation, integrity and honesty of the people that play it, than it is about the information given.
I am happy with the answer.  I have learnt much and have much to learn.

With that in mind and using a saying of a poet I enjoy reading.  Who said.  How can you ask where the treasure is if you do not know their is treasure to be found in the first place.  Or that treasure is even a thing to you.

I would ask.  What do you think is the most useful peace of information you could pass on to me that you think I do not already know about this realm?

We are happy to wait and talk to Karen and Becky for a while if need be.

Rosewood thanks the witches for the pie and cider.  Although he ask for his cider to be watered down as he knows he not good with alcohol.

Is their anything we can help you ladies with as you have been so kind and helpful to us.  Also you said you had some books.  Do you have a book of history book of the realm and maybe a book of basic magic found here.
Being a fairy, both things interest me a great deal.

I don't remember anything about a market.  I thought the lady with the apples whas ment to show us the way.

Rosewood wants to go and look at the market but the sight of goblins make him unsure.  He now sees a value in having a all powerful queen incharge of a fay land.  Here anything goes as nobody seems to be here to keep the rules in check.  Then he realise.  What are the rules anyway.  They are unclear.
The little fairy smiles to himself.  Much to learn before he finds and builds his new home.

Among those browsing is a tall, pale individual in full leathers, wearing a broad-brimmed black hat that makes it hard to see his face well.  He carries what looks like a long bone from a tall animal (or very tall humanoid?), and has a long knife sheathed for the opposite hand.

As he moves from booth to booth, he jostles a purse that doesn't seem to be filled with coins.

I would like to learn more about your magic if you have the time.  I am Rosewood by the way.

Perhaps we can talk, it is Goblin Magic, but I think also known amongst others.

He is surprised at the diminutive size of Rosewood and the fact that his voice was not particularly high and squeaky as he would have supected.

The tall hatted figure seems to notice the goblin in yellow for the first time, then the woman he's speaking to, and addresses her.

"Nid ydych chi'n edrych fel lleol. Shawn Nyseth ydw i, croeso i farchnad Goblin!"

As he gets close and speaks, you can see his face under his hat well enough to notice he's quite ugly by the standards you're used to, with pale skin and very sharp-looking teeth, no visible hair, and pale blue eyes.

I take it that rosewood never learned Elvish.

On sub note:-  A GM world is his own.  But in passing Welsh is Celtic (Britanica).  As far as I undestand elvish we use comes from saxson (Germanic).  If my understanding of Tolkin is right.
Oh and I did have the chance to learn Welsh from the natives (a proper couse) but that was just a bridge to far for a dyslexic.

I am Rosewood the Fairy.  I serve no court but my own.  The lady.
Rosewood points to Anita Drake.  Is Anita Drake.  He then points to Gordab Bardson.
The large gentleman is Gordab Bardson.  A musician of great skill.
The others I am not sure about as they have just join our group.  Myself, Anita and Gordab lead this group.
We are adventurers seeking knowledge, understanding of magic and truth.  We value these things highly.

Rosewood words where careful.  To put the elf at easy and make it clear he will be able to pay his debt to the group in a way that will not cost him much and in a way he will be happy with.  This will establish the way things work in his realm.  Debts will be honoured but the debtor will be treated with respect and not asked to do anything that would harm or degrade them which can happen in the  Unseelie court.  No debtor will be bound or a slave to another.

May I ask your name fellow creature of the skys?

Rosewood puts the coin down and studies it hard.  Digging into the law he learnt from all the books he had studied in the library.
He also tires to work out if what is going on here is the way things should work in the realm of Autumn or is something evil or wrong is happening.
The little pixie's has lived and visited the two other major courts.  He uses his mind try to understand the deeper meaning of the way the Autumn court works.  This is why he is here and this coin is a good way to tr to understand the ways of Auturm court or how a realm could be corrupted.

OOC:

13:02, Today: Rosewood rolled 4 using 3d6.  Hidden Lore: Faerie NT 13. – (Critical Success so being hopeful Rosewood learns something useful).

Throwing them away would just result in someone else ending up with the curse.  We need to find out who is doing this and stop them.  I am sure these are not the only coin with curses on them.  Do you think we could keep them save and when we have time take them back to the witches.  They would be more likely to work out who or what is behind this?

The ogrekin, after wedging the coin in a stump, is able after several practice swings to strike the coin.
There is a screech like a kettle boiling when he strikes it, and a puff of greasy black smoke erupts from where the coin had been.

The procession, which you can see is quite long,
wends its way through the woods, until it opens on a vast moonlit plain.
There, you can see green glowing spectres in ancient legionnaire armor
gathering their spears and shields into a massive wicker-man like effigy.

An honor guard surounds a corporeal deal man in the purple toga and golden laurels of an emperor toward the wicker man.

Re: On the Road to Autumn

Shawn takes a moment to translate for the others who don't speak Elvish.

"He doesn't like being hurt, and claims he can't return to human form while the full moon is up, but he hasn't yet made me confident he won't just seek easier prey."

Turning once again to the tri-wolf, "Sut, felly, allwn ni eich cadw rhag niweidio eraill?"

In reply to Shawn Nyseth (msg # 497):

"None of that justifies his earlier statement that he wanted to hurt us before he realised we could hurt him...because we had refrained from attacking him. I do not want to be responsible for him rushing off to attack someone who cannot defend themselves. On the contrary, I hate bullies, and it just makes me want to hurt him more!"

She remains very guarded, evaluating his actions again.
