"Grohm, I've never met a magical healer who wasn't a priest of some kind, even at the Guild Academy -- and the instructors and administrators there are some of the most powerful and educated wizards alive.  There's a whole college of spells for that, and we learn a few of them as underlying principals of spells in other colleges, but the only ones in the Healing college that wizards can actually use are Lend Energy and Recover Energy.  Couldn't tell you why we have a whole College of spells we can't use -- maybe the Masters know that."  He shakes his head.  "Maybe things were different once, long ago."

"That said, even acolytes and novices of most religions usually learn a few basic Healing spells; it's one of their basic functions.  Which is to say, we need to recruit a priest of some sort.  I'm most familiar with Hadereans, of course, but I don't know anyone in the temple here -- I've only been in town a couple days, after all.  Otherwise, there are Vejovists, Triunists, Shevnian and Valdassyan, old Roman gods, the Sahudese and Hindi gods -- pick an ethnic group, they probably have one or more gods of their own, and where there are gods, there are priests.  In a town this size, it shouldn't be hard to find a priest who doesn't mind a little risk for a reasonable reward."

you can detect a hint of armor under her plain robes, and an inlaid holy symbol at her throat, but she is otherwise dressed rather simply and frugally.

"We've made some friends among the trolls below, but disturbed something that needs going around.  We need to explore deeper ways to try to find another connection from the West March to the East, where Ulo's people are, so they can trade back and forth.

"There's silver in it, and from what I'm seeing so far here in Northport likely some loot as well, but we discovered on the last trading trip that we really need a healer with us."

He nods toward Dne.  "I see you already know him.  I just met him today, but I've seen that he does okay down there.  Syvanus is good with his bow.  I'm a dropped out apprentice wizard, and I do fairly well with my crossbow and staff, though I don't have combat magic -- yet.  Tommy, as you can see, blends well in the dark and he's very quiet when he wants to be, and his friend Brunhilda is quite strong.
