In reply to Aldous Hack (msg # 386):

occ had to read back several years of this thread...

"Let's load it into its cage that I have prepared, and we will judge its worth based on how damgaged it is - untouched, a pound of silver.
Butchered but still moving a bit less."

"Don' 'member hearin' tha' way.  'N how's we s'pozeta get't wi'out beatin' 't up?"  He shakes his head, concentrates, and speaks in a put-on high class accent.

"'Excuse us, Mister wight, could you kindly climb into this barrel?'"  His speech then returns to his normal.

"'E damn' near kilt Thorg, broke m' sword, 'n took two'f us 'n Dagon's pair t' git 'im in th' barrel."

OOC: yes, so did I. I should have recorded the reference for you when I did that, sorry!

In reply to Dagon (msg # 394):

The sage steps past you to an outer wall, wherefrom he pulls a rope letting a little of the last of the sunlight into the cellar laboratory.
He grabs a mirror and a lens out from his pockets, and trains the light toward the space the barrel will be opening into.

"Cut those knots and dump it in - you there in the barrel - you will get more of this if you don't cooperate!"

Aine grabs the knot of the rope in such a way that it will release as she runs away...then she runs.

Realizing the minions (and Aine) are about to release the wight with no additional containment than Bertrand's reflected sunbeam, Aldous draws his large knife.

Re: tavern part 4

The wight struggles to right itself, and is slammed into the cage even as the beam of sunlight strikes it, causing it to smoke.

Holgien struggles to slam the door, but the wight touches him through the bars, and he starts to get uneven on his feet, and is having trouble with the deadbolt...

In reply to Aine Walsh (msg # 408):

The master looks over the relative damage to the wight.

"A pound of silver short by five coins should do it then.
I don't know as I need another wight, but if you can get the heart's blood of a vampire,
and the whiskers of a werewolf I would be greatly obliged...  The reproductive organs of
a gloomwing would be of use as well."

a pound -5 silver is 250 coins, for a total value of $5000
