Time for a beating

As you leave the guild, enroute to Kalvo's place, you hear a bustle in the
marketplace of the mercantile district. A strange furry creature is drinking
 from the public fountain.

Re: Time for a beating

The creature holds a large spear in his left hand and is scooping up large handfuls of water with his right hand, spilling more than makes it to his mouth, and his scant clothing, little more than a loin cloth, some pouches, and a curious collection of sticks hung about him, leaves little doubt that he is indeed a he.  After a few more minutes of this he turns aside from the fountain and removes the last shred of doubt by relieving himself on a nearby statue.

Danos heads deeper into little Shevnia. While the red light district is

concentration of refugees from the neighboring Hetlands, mostly humans
with a high percentage of orcish ancestry. The citizens are slightly
paranoid, and do a good job of staying out of other people's affairs.
The address Madeline gives you is for a rooming house that takes in
non Shevnians, not quite a rarity, but definately a lower income
circumstance, an only a destitute or ostracized Shevnian would live away from
their own.  The inkeeper eyes you suspiciously, but more for your simple

Once everyone is ready, Danos follows them to Kalvo's training yard. He regrets giving Kaheela the home-turf advantage, but he is sure that he can work out a distraction.

During the trip, he takes the time to discreetly confer with Oly and Arvak. "Let me know if you have any plans that you'd like me to help with. If we can get some of the others in Kalvo's crew, we might be done this job faster than expected."

When Danos arrives in the yard, he quickly moves across the whole field. As he wanders, he keeps an eye on what everyone else is doing. When he thinks he has a second when no one is observing him, he quickly casts a spell on the ground - an illusion that, for the moment, replicates what the ground looks like.

Once cast, Danos finds a safe spot from which to observe the fight and concentrates on maintaining the illusion.
