we're strugglign cause of a number of issues, one of them being a dragon, antoher being people shooting targets which are already disabled.

and some bad luck on our rear guards part, which really isn't their fault, those shots  were really clean, yet dice roller decided to wreck us.

sentry went well because a certain commando couldn't get it's act together, tbh.
there will be words... many. unpleasant. loud. seaman-ear-reddening. words, for that commandos pilot!


Long Down time is coming regardless.  I'm going on vacation for a lot of August, it's just a matter of me getting a jump on it before i go and setting something up to do while i'm out or leaving and doing the bookkeeping after because the contract isnt done.  (shrugs)

If we go another mission it'll probably be on the harder side to reflect the more desparate events.  We probably dont want to do a harder mission is my thoughts...

Decoy is left with a Laserjack, a Vindicator and a Whitworth.  Kinda slow to help you out and they are busy with a Wolverine at the moment that had taken out both Lucky and Pax now.

I'm not really sure then, i don't have much of the greater picture, I'd really like to hold off on a decision till we've had the combat from this turn completely resolved, so we cna see the actual state of the units involved.

-

my heat isn't an issue, it was calculated, and i won't be firing guns next turn, (honestly meant to let it cool this turn, but then the commando came within range with a rpetty decen't TN on itself), but i will still be able to rejoin combat if need be, or move on to approach anotehr hill to scan.

that is unless I fail my overdrive PSR and it decompresses a leg.

Yes... failed overdrive rolls has been a significant killer of mechs, if not the number one cause, of mechs dying on the field, behind... perhaps only decompression.

Mercs tend to fail overdrive, op force tends to end up decompressed... (shrugs)

yeah, however there's a slightly better than 2/3rds chance of me succeeding the overdrive PSR, and even if i fail it, it isn't an automatic disable, from what i understand.

I would be more comfortable doing it if I had gotten around to getting edge yet, whcih is my, not next, but right after next, xp purchase (next being missile spec 1).

so if I only look at my own pilot, I cna say "that's  alright".

but it's not only ana, there's still 7 other mercenaries on the map, one is shutdown, and i think teri is rebooting now?

so 5 mercs and me left active on the map right this moment, vs 7 enemies, of which most can be disabled by one hit to a leg.

I won initiative (and won it well enough it can't be messe dup by anything, that doens't just remove me from the field), and while overheated still have no shutdown rolls on me, so i get to choose what can actually shoot at me next turn, and get the option of chasing down stuff to shoot with my AC/6, or double punch in the back for decompression chances, can't fire my ML's on the upcoming turn though, way too much heat right now.

Ana.... technically I can't. My only viable shot is on the Locust 1. I jumped giving me a TN 7 off the bat. 7 +4 for Long Range on a Med Laser = TN 11. 11 + DEF 4 = a total TN of 15. Right now its probably best to hold off and cool my heat.

honestly, with that happpening, i think we should continue, that's one of the scarier elements removed from he mission...

Hm.  YOu're right.

With no weapons in the arm, i didnt track it closely, though if that's the case, it wouldnt bother with one punch, it'd go to a single kick instead.

Will resolve the kick then.

Still trying to figure out what the FN is...

so... i fialed my PSR... i take 5 total internal damage in my legs.

how do i resolve  this?, i mean, i can't find any rules other than the you take the excess move in internal damage in the legs.

and i've no idea how to resolve what exactly that does?, is that just 5 damage randomized by kick table, and then critical check roll, or is there more to it?

 I had meant it to mean reverse but you are correct, R can also mean Right turn, got cha.


 F=facing, N=north.

From watching everyone else, you take the 5 internals to each leg, then you make a critical roll for each leg because of the internal damage.

7 or less, nothing else happens.

Roll decompression for each leg too.

Regardless you get scout roll too.  Base scout plus penalty for movement and heat

(2 penalty I think)
