Sometimes... it might be worth it.

Just make sure the risk and gains are balanced.

Re: OOC - Started May 2014

Still waiting on Big Jake to move.

It's the weekend so i'm inclined to just sit and give him a bit more time to respond.

If i dont have anything for him by this time tomorrow, will ask for movement from anyone.

If i dont get it by lunch tomorrow, he just stands there and holds his ground.

Re: OOC - Started May 2014

Family time for me. I took my kids up to my Father-In-Law's yesterday for a BBQ and get together with the wife's side of the family. I was up there until 10:30.

I try to post on Sundays when I wind the kids down after dinner. PbP is always a kind of slow moving rate. We used to try to do a 3x/week post rate as a minimum requirement on some of the other sites I play on, to help fix that.

Kitten.... would it be easier to make a Secure Comms Thread? That way we can have an area to discuss what we are dealing with in Real Time in Character???? I figure it will give everyone a place where they can discuss actions as they happen, and give everyone an idea on a solid PoA going into the Maps.

If its too big a hassle I understand. Just figured it might be easier.

Re: OOC - Started May 2014

I only check two non mission threads.  You guys throw me out of this room and you'll have trouble finding me.

Will give everyone access to the lancers room later when I have a real keyboard.

In reply to Helia Quinn (msg # 198):

I'm usually pretty good, that error is a carry over from turn one, i made the same mistake there.

Intially i had contemplated over running them 5, and made a reality check that it wasnt worth the potential crippling effects, forgot to change the def mod.

The longest journey starts with but one step in the right direction.

If you never take that step you never get to where you need to shoot.

Overdrive Question

Doesn't Reggie and Lina have to roll PSR's for Running over their "safe" speed, or is that something Kitten does?  Also, is the damage to the legs applied in any sort of "cluster" or is it just one big set of damage (important for # of criticals)?

Re: Overdrive Question

I asked Kitten about that.

You do the movement, then you roll the PSR at the same time you're rolling for the next rounds Initiative.  So you get the 'full' movement out of what you're trying to do but don't know what sort of damage you might take till you go to move your legs 'again'.

Kitten:
each legs takes a point of internal damage for each MP above the safe movement/jump.

which may lead to a critical... which may lead to falling down.

nothing is for sure though.

Re: Overdrive Question

It should be noted i will not accept early rolls for the unsafe movement speed pilot skill check.  YOu move and then you have to wait till next turn to make the check for pilot skill to see if you take damage from the unsafe move.

You take damage as noted in the mission notes.  If you fail it during initiative, you take 1 point of internal to each leg, for each mp over the safe speed that you miss.  One large sum of damage, one crit roll for each leg.

You fall down then and there and take the damage from the fall, and thats how you start the turn.

I will get movement up this evening when I get home. If I have time at the end of the day, I'll post before I clock out. Just wanted to give you a heads up so you weren't waiting.

No worries, i blame Lucius for bad intel and not mentioning it.  I did tell him specifically it was during the following initiative phase.

Waiting on Hina and Malcolm.  No one else HAS to move unless they're concerned they're not going to be around tomorrow to post their movement.
