Yeah it got blown clean off by a group of laser infantry two missions ago and when you bargained to leave in one piece the arm was left behind.



He has an arm, to soak damage.  He has no actuators, which is what i count for looting.

not sure where they are but...

You can only careful stand on a walk, not a run.

You may spend an additional 2mp to try and stand to reduce the tn by -1.

So if Pax wants to careful stand, he would need 2mp for the original effort to stand and can spend additional 4mp to do so, and reduce the tn by -2.  That leaves him 2mp to get out of there, or you can spend those 2 mp to careful stand some more reducing the penalty to -3, negating the gyro hit, but when you stand up, you just stand there, which... is really not recommended.

And does a gyro hit effect init rolls?

I know they are based on PSR but I was not certain it effects Init.  Been awhile. And would legs hits do as well since they effect PSRs as well?

Yes and yes.

Anything that uses your piloting skill as a base is affected by that gyro hit.  It's hard keeping her under control when she wants to sway like a drunken whore down the streets in New Orleans during Mardi Gras.

Gave it some thought, I'm going to wrap up the contract with Mission 13.

YOu will complete the raid and boost off with your booty.

The reason for this, is it's almost xmas, and it'll be easier to justify the year end xmas toys i'll be doling out, which will be much better than anything you might get in another round of mission raids.

Iron Swords and Legion are officially wrapped up on the contract, and i will be starting their end contract bookkeeping.

I will also be tracking availability rolls that players desire to make shortly, and all the other fun stuff that happens between contract bookkeeping.

Some... minor rule tweaks are on the horizon, so dont over plan stuff just yet, and once the Lancers and Brigade are done, i will release end year xmas presents a little early so you can plan them into your between contract mods...

(Keep an eye on the repair bay for more end contract news over the next week or two.)

Cool.  My only regret for the mission is that I didn't get to see the turret of the demolisher pop off.

Few seem to remember what BEAS was, so the XMAS BEAS being offered is...

Beta Actuator Enhancement System  (Arms}
Cost (1000cb x Mech Weight)
Technical Skill Penalty ~ (2) Arm get -1 bonus to Punch Attacks (only)
                          (1) Arm get -1 bonus to All Physical Attacks
                          (0) Arm get -1 bonus to Arm mounted weapons

(You need a 'Technical skill' of 2 or better to get full usage from it.)

Technical Skill = Mental Ability + X-Tech + Tinker

Yes. you can hold up on availability rolls, use the Repair Bay for all character/mech changes, and so forth.

We are expected to have some sort of auction.  I wont skip over the best money sponge in the campaign >.>

I think the solution at this time, is not to start a replacement unit but consolidate the units we have.

I'm going to allow units to grow past the soft cap of (4) members that i had previously.

That means that Joaquin can stay in the Light Lancers, if he wants or he can look to sign on with one of the other units.

Currently...

(4 members) Light Lancers
Pax, Donovan, Daniel, and Akarian

(4 members) Iron Swords
Luc, Olaf, Roger, and Malcolm

(4) members) Pussycats
Penny, Teri, David, and Mattias

Available Talent
Joaquin and Hassan

I'm going to let Joaquin and Hassan decide which units they want to sign on with.

I'm... going to do something rare, and put an AD in the players wanted section.

We're at a managable number, but i think we could do with a little new talent in the player pool, so i'm going to go fishing and see what we come up with.

I'm fine either way as far as the Unit goes. If Pax wants to keep me, I'm fine with that. Otherwise I'm a Free Agent.... lets see what the market share is. ;)

I'll look at some things and see what I can do to upgrade the Spider some.

150cb sounds sweet, but a pair of Streak LRR 6s don't come along every day.  In fact, I'm pretty sure this the first appearance in the game.
