Re: A Question

Do you want the results in by the end of today, or by next Friday? Just making sure to keep things clear. :D

Re: A Question

In reply to Ziro Borovei (msg # 748):

I start bookkeeping on Saturday.  If you dont have results in by Friday, (shrugs) then the tourney results werent important enough to you to have them in.

(That would be... today)

{hm...

vacation and a busy week has had me so messed up i didnt even realize it was Friday.

ugh~

yes, get those results in.

I bookkeep tomorrow (will lock M10 thread tommorow, if the thread is locked that means you were tooooo slow to get your results in), and missions release tomorrow.

Re: A Question

Okay looks like most of the valkyries have checked in, but Ana and has finalized, will release mission notes then, since i dont expect Ana to check in by tomorrow nothing changes.

Maps still need to be generated, but at least you can look at the objectives and Op Force.

You're free to look over them, ask for clarifications and what not.  No bitching about scouting till you see the map.

Re: A Question

Big Jake and Joaquin, PM me how much armour you wish to buy ASAP for in mission resuply so I can relay our freelancer request to Kitten as a unit.

Those request should have been in long long long time ago.

Repair bay is closed and you go as is, sorry guys.

I'm making maps then you go play.

The only bookkeeping i'm doing now is M10 rewards, due to be done, tomorrow.

Make your drop, and try and get your objectives done with as little damage as possible.

Re: A Question

Kitten, I'll accept it and I appreciate how you work hard but I do not like it.  You made the decision this morning to end M10 three weeks early.  Yes, it is not going as well as planned for all of us.

Let's play M11 and have all have some fun.  May I please have access to a ready room and a role playing thread for the Freelancers to coordinate us?

Re: A Question

Yes but the repair bay has been closed for many days if not over a week.

Last calls for availability rolls for supplies was quite a while ago.

Re: A Question

hey kitten, is there a way to charge and attempt to push another mech one square?

one opponent is standing still at thr absolute edge of the map, with his back 'against the wall', just wondering if there  is an actual play to deliberately push him out, i seem to recall you mentioned if people ended up outside the arena they lost the match ;)

Re: A Question

There are two ways to do that (in core battletech anyway), both are physical attacks.

You can do a Charge, which is just you barreling into them at full speed, or a push, which requires both arms.

If you have Total Warfare, they are on page 147 and 148.

I don't have TW, and i have a hachet in one hand, so sounds like i have to charge.

Re: A Question

In reply to Anastasia Karkoff (msg # 756):

I remember seeing the note about a charge being able to push a target off the map too, but iirc you need a straight line path to them, so if you have to make a turn you can't charge... (the way I understood it anyway)

Re: A Question

If you want to play... play, but get results in soon.

In about 12 hours i'm locking the thread and then i dont want to hear about late entries.

Having both arms used to make a push, means you cant fire weapons from your arms when you attempt a push.

You can still push.  If you have all four actuators in both arms there are no penalties, its okay to have an hatchet.

You may attempt a charge too, but you cant make any weapon attacks if you do.

According to total war, you do need them to be directly in front of the mech to make a charge, (no turns allowed)

Re: A Question

ah okay, what are the rules on a push then?, since a charge is out of the question.

(specific mechanics, so i can determine if it is a viable option, and then try or not try for it.)

Re: A Question

To make a push, during the physical combat phase he must be directly in front of you (based on feet not torso turns).

Base Push is tn 4 + movement + def Mod + pilot skill difference

if you took arm actuators or stuff there are other modifiers, but the above should cover most of it.

Re: A Question

whatever happens with that, after this turn, malcolm and I are done with our battle, he won't have time for antoher turn i think.

so just waiting for his weapons fire, then i'll shoot with my shoulders (if that's still okay within the push rules?)
then make my push, and then it's over, whichever way it ends.

Re: A Question

Push - No arm weapons fired.  Base 4 modified by movement, terrain, and difference in piloting skill.  You move into hex, opponent moves 1 away from you.  You may do this even if you have no movement MP left.  Enemy must make piloting check or fall down.

Each damaged shoulder actuator adds +2

Re: A Question

Luc corrected me, you can charge too.  He just has to be in 'front' of you during the physical phase, and you have mp left to actually enter the hex.

no weapon fire of any sort though.

Re: A Question

Might be good to know if there's any change in tns due to weight also (I don't have TW either) but it would be a 30 ton pushing a 45 if that matters...

Re: A Question

There is not.

Though if the target is pushed the target needs to make a pilot check to avoid a fall.

Re: A Question

That won't matter, if she makes the roll for the push I'm off the map... But I destroyed one of her legs with my physical in the same round, so we might have an epic double elimination :)
